This past weekend my town had a History & Mystery walk in the downtown area.  One of the buildings we could walk through was the Masonic Temple. They had a special room for The Knights of Templar members.  It was up on the 3rd floor.  And they had a ( now non-functioning ) lightning generating machine. The guide told me that they used to have a ground rod in the back corner of the stage and they used to shoot lightning across the room during some of their rituals. ( many many years ago of course )

That was the craziest thing I had ever heard seen.

That whole building was strange.

the Templars got as far as America before they were suppressed by the church? Or is this a sort of spin-off of the Masons? Either way, it sounds as if the Masons would have to step up a gear to increase the entertainment value of their meetings.

Life is a hideous business, and from the background behind what we know of it peer daemoniacal hints of truth which make it sometimes a thousandfold more hideous.

I'm not sure. Our guide never used that term.  It was a clunky looking device setting up on what looked like a tri-pod.  It was mounted up on the edge of the balcony ( which we did not have access to )

I had never heard of such a thing.

The Knights Templar took many feeling reasonably be connected to the organization and all areas of the mysterious hidden events and other events. Some of the most famous historical enigmas are thrown repeatedly into the mix are the Shroud of Turin, the Holy Grail and the Ark of the Covenant which report all the links to the Templars. Most historians do not agree with the idea that the Templars have continued as an effective organization for long beyond the day of their destruction was ordered.

All the mystery surrounding what happened to the Templars after Friday the 13th, and all the speculation about whether or not they continued on secretly within other organizations... all the attempts by historians to find a link or some evidence to what happened... and all along, a tour guide in Ohio had the answer...
