Mountain of thunder

And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that [was] in the camp trembled.

Exd 19:17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.

Exd 19:18 And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.

What would be more fitting for Moses to have built, a wooden drum that thundered the voice of God.

...Unless they choose to put it in a box under a sheet and have armed guards escort it away. Call me a skeptic, but I'm pretty sure this is all nonsense anyway.

Well, I hope they don't open the ark up.

We all remember what happened last time, right?

No one believes the Ark is in Ethiopia...which is why if it is there...it is safe as can be. I wish it were. It would be quite amazing! Who knows? It could be.

That place has been heavily guarded for decades. So, either something very important is there, or they are using that excuse to hide something else.

I do hope they bring it out into the sunlight so photos can be taken. I'd like to see what they have in that shed-temple.

Hey, genius, time to take a break from trolling and learn something.

"Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a great hailstorm." Revelation 11:19.
Revelation is the end days, so anything that happened then would be in our future, thus it could still be here on Earth.

Not that I would ever dare to suggest it, but I've often wondered why no one has hired some Mercs to just go take it?  I cannot possibly be that secure...
Well, there is a single Bad-Azz monk that is supposed to be the protector, who once he is put in, cannot leave the immediate grounds of that shed-temple for the rest of his life. He is supposed to guard it with his life. People have attributed him with "Powers" in the past.

Still you would think someone like Dr Evil would have busted in there to get a look by now. Guess that is proof of lack of Dr Evil, Dr Doom, Lex Luthor type super criminals in the world. Or maybe proof of a lack of value in this Ethopian Ark.

Aren't these the same Ethopian Orthodox that are the only people who use the Book of Enoch as part of their Canon?

Here at Intel we make processors on 12 inch wafers. And, the individual processors on the wafers are called die. And, I am employed to check these die. That is why I am the DieChecker.

There are parallels, but it is true. Every couple years someone goes on about the Ark and so I've followed it for going on 7 years now, and there is a real monk that is kept in that enclosure never to be removed till he dies. And no one else can go in except to replace him and to drag off the old monks corpse.

ive heard the monks who guard it in Ethiopia have short life spans from being around it. this from a tv show, so who knows...i think it was some history channel thing. claiming radiation from it made them sick or something and they only lasted like 3 or 4 years after starting to guard it.
oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive

There actually is some very good evidence that the Ark is in Ethiopia. They did not just make it up one day and start saying it is here in Ethiopia. There are a large number of African Jews which have been asked to return to Israel. The Ark was  supposedly brought to Ethiopia by the son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. I forget his name. This church that is said to hold the Ark has produced period correct Jewish artifacts that were used in ceremonies and worship. It has a better chance of being in Ethiopia than anywhere else in the world.

Maybe my opinion is a bit biased because I don't believe in God or any of that stuff but I fail to see how this would be proof of anything. IF they had the ark, and people do get to see it during it's transport to the new chapel, how would that prove anything other than they have something that looks like the ark? They're still not going to let people do any tests, research, or inspect it for confirmation of anything so at most all we'll get, like I said is pictures of something they have that they claim to be the ark. Just my two cents.

You have a very valid point. The prop ark from Indiana Jones may be more realistic than what they have.
As a believer in God, I have to admit, I am not holding my breath. Even if it were the genuine article, it would be more harm to a faith then help. Heck, I don't even think that it would be provable if it were!

It's far better to be a doubting Thomas than a fanatic.

I have to agree. Faith should not come from viewing or holding an object, but from understanding and accepting what your religion teaches. Things are ephemeral, but spirit is forever.
