From his essays I'd be hard pressed to acknowledge any significant breadth of knowledge, nor an in depth of such in any filed. But sensationalism based on omissions and half-truths seem more like it. Still wondering how people can make a living of such - if one of my students presented something like this they'd be reamed. I guess that is the one of the "blessings" of the internet. One can post anything without any form of editorial scrutiny.
