I wrote a column for UM called ErieLeary in which I told about my capability to become, spontaneously, another. I gave examples and my point was that we are all one. I have become other, even died, because we are all interconnected.  Love one another. Love your neighbor as yourself. Because we are one.  I know. Because I have been others.
I know there are others who know what I am saying.
It is time for us to join together as a collective and understand that we are spiritual beings inside physical, separate beings. Egos separate us, but any pain we give to another we will experience.

This is the ultimate question and the answer is, we are one. I know.

Perhaps this is something that can be discussed. how do you feel about J.Krishnamurti´s statement?
Do you believe we are all one as an idea or is it something you really know to be true in your heart. Or do you not believe it at all?

If you do realize this unity, what is your responsibility?

Everything I've been reading about quantum mechanics indicates that we are all interconnected. If that is the case, then whatever one part/particle experiences is felt by the other parts. Prctically speaking, for most of us, not always the physical experience, but maybe the emotional/psychic/spiritual results of those physical experiences. I do think that consciousness is not as localized as many of us experience. The message for me: be sure that our words & actions are for the good of all.

Yes, I think you are right (not about the Matrix-well :innocent: ....).  Fascination with the material world is a hypnosis of sorts - it keeps us "asleep" unaware of who we truly are and our interconnectedness with each other.  It is an act of the ego to fascinate and absorb our attention in these things - that is how it maintains power and control over our actions, I like this saying about the human personality/ego.

"Blessed is the lion which becomes man when consumed by man; and cursed is the man whom the lion consumes, and the lion becomes man." ... Gospel of Thomas.

But what does that mean?

If the Lion is the Ego/Personality which is consumed by the true Man then the transformation of awakening is the blessing, but .... if the Ego/Personality consumes the true Man then we are asleep with the Ego/Personality telling us what is true and what to do without consciousness of the effects of our actions and beliefs on others or even on ourselves.

Or something like that ... I'm sure others can expound on this idea ...
"I warn you, whoever you are, oh you who wish to probe the arcanes of nature, if you do not find within yourself that which you seek, neither shall you find it outside.
If you ignore the excellencies of your own house, how do you intend to find other excellencies?
In you is hidden the treasure of treasures, Oh man, know thyself and you shall know the Universe and the Gods."

An alternative translation of the above is.......

7. Jesus said, "Lucky is the lion that the human will eat, so that the lion becomes human. And foul is the human that the lion will eat, and the lion still will become human."

What that is conveying, I think, is that if the 'animal' nature in us, those things we have in common with animals, has the upper hand in how we live, those characteristics that are uniquely human are subjugated. And vice versa, if we subjugate our animal impulses, the uniquely human qualities, some would say the divine qualities in us, will reign.

This statement is very very true. The instincts of fear are particularly limiting.

I am sure we are all one, we are all just strings in a giant spider web.                                  One can not find true happiness unless it is seen in someone else.
Don't mistake coincidance for fate.

If one is missing limb they could still feel it there and it could even itch. The only way to ease the itch in a phantom limb is to scratch the limb of anothet person in the same spot.

We also have a layer within us that can filter out and recognize foreign bodies thus in an organ transplant the immune system would have to be suppressed. Without this filter your own body would not know the difference between your own organs and those of another.

Mirror neurons allow us to connect to others. If we see someone take a bite of food, our own mind would think we took it, our mouths could even salivate, ever seen  commercial where someone bit into something desirable at that moment?

Your own mind would kick in and signal that it was not you who took a bite but another. Likewise somone being cut up in a horror movie might make you cringe for the same reason.

Our minds also have a filter which without we would be unable to differentiate between us and others,  their thoughts and ours, our experiences and theirs.

Yes some of us are awakening to the knowledge we are one entity. Yet if we consider others as being asleep and needy of us to show them then we are still sleeping too. Being awake certainly means we allow others to grow at their own pace without looking down on them and also possessing the patience to realize others who are meant to awaken will do so at their own time. The sense of urgency that it all has to be done now is part of the illusion of time.

This topic of conversation fascinates me. Has anyone read any of the "Seth" books by Jane Roberts? If not I would recommend reading "Seth Speaks". You'll never look at your world the same after.
According to Seth it's not that were asleep, it's that we are so focused on the physical plane, we are so fascinated with it, that we have over time lost touch with our just as real spiritual side. Our spiritual side doesn't tell our physical side what to do. We have complete freedom of choice...according to Seth.
Everyone evolves at there own pace...it's not a race. Time is just an illusion that is needed to help us stay focused in the physical world. We are all a part of All That Is, which makes us one, but separate if we choose.
