just recently read some news on my local news website .. abut a strange light phenomen .. what could it be ?

Very hard to take much away from that. If it was a video and the light source was stationary from different angles, I'd more impressed. Seems like it could just be a lens flare.

It appears to be a glare.........what a pity.

Looks like a lens flare to me.

Too many people on both sides of the spectrum have fallen into this mentality that a full one half of the country are the enemy for having different beliefs...in a country based on freedom of expression. It is this infighting that allows the focus to be taken away from "we the people" being able to watch, and have control over government corruption and ineptitude that is running rampant in our leadership.

People should be working towards fixing problems, not creating them.

dont think tis a lense flare , as it isnt always on the same spot (last picture)

maybe a glare like fyre stated ,  due to ice crystals reflecting the sun... ;)

Very dramatic music just for a reflection from the sun. The sun is in the right position for this to occur if the reflection is coming from an angled source.  Would like to see another photo once the sun has gone down to see what sort of building the sun is reflecting off.
Maybe something like a solar panel on the top of a building or structure. :)
