Good pictures. 2 different Bells, one dynamic rollover, probably 2.  Or 2 really lousy autorotations.   The Bell will roll over if you're not careful.  There is visible tail rotor damage, though not bad.  Always totalled.

But that doesn't really change anything.  It was not a dynamic rollover type accident at Abbottabad.  And the "tail rotor blades" looked like they just came out of the box.

Rotor blades of a stealth helicopter are supposed to look as they them came directly out of a box. The paint is part of the action.

The tail boom contacted the wall, which severed the rotor shaft and trashed the bearings and that is why the rotor was in the shape that it was. At the Army's helicopter depot in Corpus Christi, we placed the complete airframe of a Black Hawk into a special fixture for proper alignment whenever we installed the tail rotor shaft bearing brackets because the alignment of the brackets had to be precise to the extreme.

You might want to show those photos to your friend so he can now say that he finally saw tail otor blades from a helicopter accident that did not completely shatter.

If bin Laden was a good little boy in the first place, there would have not been a need for U.S. Special Forces to take him out, but as history has shown, he declared war on the United States and did very bad things and the result is what happened to Osama bin Laden  at Abbottabad.

Hey Chief, it's called a jig in most places.  I would think a career mechanic would know that, but I do understand that in the military, mechanics are not really into production of aircraft, only maintenance.  Special fixture is close enough, though.

Now Sky, IF you could just provide a real picture of this stealth helicopter you keep talking about, you might be able to make a point.

BTW, do you know the purpose of a tail stinger on a helicopter?  Can you provide a picture of a tail stinger?

Remember, I am also an airframe inspector/technician and was an Air Force 'ART.'  Some Air Force C-5, DCCs were not mechanics, but were required to know a certain level of knowledge about the C-5 transport. One DCC, who got me into the program, wasn't a C-5 mechanic, but flew many missions as a DCC on C-5s. We were assigned to a particular aircraft for a particular mission.

That won't work for you  because the military doesn't post photos of its operational black assets on the Internet for obvious reasons. A case in point, the Air Force never allowed photos of the F-117 while black, and photos of the F-117 were allowed ONLY after the level of its classification was dropped to a level that allowed it to be flown in daylight.

No mystery to those of us who are very familiar with the way we operate our operational black secrets. BTW, what does the tail stinger have to do with it when you can plainly see that the tail boom was severed by the wall.

It is amazing that he would claim that tail rotors from helicopter accidents always shatter, but as he has been shown, that is not always the case and helicopter wreckage photos have proven that fact beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Of course there was, and you know it too. We didn't have many space-based and aerial support assets in the sky that night for nothing. Do you know why this guy is in a heap of trouble?

Is your argument really that the helicopter is a prop because there's no picture of the helicopter available on the Internet?

Perhaps, I should have asked Babe Ruth if there were photos available of the "Oxcart," "Have Blue" and "Tacit Blue" aircraft during operations while they were still black-classified. I don't think Babe Ruth understands what he is posting.

My argument is that the piece laying on the wall is a prop, for several reasons.

1) There is no helicopter in the US inventory that looks like that. 2) If it were a functional tail rotor, it's missing the shroud that encloses such a design as the French use. 3) If it were a functional tail rotor, it was not functioning at the time it struck the ground because the exposed blades (no shroud) are pristine.  Had they really been turning at the time of impact they would have been damaged. 4) OBL had been dead for years, so these events were staged for political agendae.

First of all, you are not in a position to know everything the military has in its inventory

What missing shroud?

That doesn't make any sense considering the tail boom was severed by the wall, so why would you  think the tail rotor would still have been rotating?  It seems that you overlooked  photos where tail rotors from prior helicopters were in very good shape  and in the same condition as the tail rotor found at bin Laden's residence.

Since paint is an very important feature of stealth technology, the blades would have had to be kept in very good shape.

I guess you missed these photos of tail rotors after accidents.

So is it any wonder then, that you cannot be taken serioiusly.

On the contrary, Osama bin Laden was very much alive, according to the same source that you used as a reference in the first place and Bhutto made that comment in November 2007.
