Indeed Big D! The kinetic energy from space collisions is immense, we only need look at the Dinosaurs to see how one rock can affect en entire planet. And we are lucky!! We have the Giants out there Like Uranus, Jupiter and Saturn catching these strays before the can reach us and pummel the earth. Uranus has endured heavy bombardment, not once, but twice! It may be what smashed it from it's regular (or perhaps expected?) tilt.

LINK - Uranus takes a pounding more frequently than thought

The only reliable way to change the tilt of one planet is to smash it with another planet of comparable size. While planets running into other planets isn't something that happens very often nowadays, back in the tempestuous youth of the solar system, it was relatively common: a planet the size of Mars hitting Earth four and a half billion years ago probably blasted off enough stuff to form the moon, for example. But with Uranus, one collision big enough to knock the entire planet sideways would also have screwed up Uranus' system of moons, which isn't the case.

So Uranus did take a pounding, but its moon avoided being screwed up.

It's all very serious stuff!

:innocent:

I'm sorry Fry, but astronomers renamed Uranus in 2620 to end that stupid joke once and for all.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Have you ever heard of the theory that man did not evolve from apes but was put here by aliens? Have you ever seen this show? Some makes sense as to how men were monkeys and how all of the sudden were they able to be intelligent? Why did humans lose their hair only to kill animals and use their hair to keep warm?

No, despite what this and several other threads concerning similar topics on this forum we have never actually heard of the "ancient alien theory speculation"

To start with, how familiar are you with the currently understood evolutionary history of hominids?
I'm asking this to understand just how much understanding you already have, though if you think humans came from monkies, I'm guessing (and I don't mean this offensively) you are severely lacking in your understanding of evolution.

I will say I expected some people in a group called: Extraterrestrial Life & The UFO Phenomenon to disbelieve the possibility that xts have been here, but I'm surprised to find that it's such a huge majority who put their faith in that possibility being the correct one. Maybe it's because they end up running off most of the people who do consider the possibility of xt visits and influence.
Or maybe they are afraid of being grouped into a group that includes someone like you.
 Here's a clue for you  : People who consider the possibility that xts have had influence on Earth have no reason to fear being "grouped into a group" that includes people who consider the possibility that xts have had influence on Earth. It's far more likely that the rudeness of those who can't handle the possibility ran them off, even if you can't handle that possibility either.

I would guess 186K miles per second if I'm at rest relative to the point of emission, though probably not if I'm moving away at 93K miles per second relative to it.
Regardless of your movement the speed of the light beam remains the same.  You are attempting to indicate that the speed of the light beam is relative to your motion and that is incorrect.
As an example.  You are driving down a long highway at a constant 60 mph, eventually you pass several cars.  One is stopped by the side of the road, one is doing 30 mph and one is doing 45 mph.  As you pass each car you look at your speedometer and you are continuing to move at a constant 60 mph.  Your speed has not changed and is not relative to the speed or lack of speed of the other vehicles.
Yes it IS relative to them. All speeds you referred to in your nonexample are relative to the surface of the Earth ONLY and not to each other. Unless you can tell us where the surface of the universe is by which we can compare all other velocities--which you can NOT--we are left to consider all velocities to be relative to something else in particular. And even if you could--which you can't--their velocities would STILL be different relative to each other than they are to the surface of the universe if such a thing did exist and we could reference it. You not only have made a huge error in this particular example, but you've shown that you don't appreciate the fact that there is no surface of the universe and the significance of that fact in regards to velocity.

Those things clearly appear to depict air vehicles and so far no one has suggested what else they might realistically be depicting if not air vehicles. If you want people to consider that they might be depicting something else, then let us know what things you want us to think they really are depicting.
What?   Please read the thread before you post again.  The more obvious choices have been mentioned
NO obvious choices have been mentioned. The idea of them looking like sprites does not apply. The idea of them being replaced does not appear to apply, and even if they were the idea that it's more likely for people of 1200 BC to have carved depictions of air vehicles than people from earlier times is absurd. The carvings themselves to NOT look like the have deteriorated, so that idea doesn't apply. And your absurd suggestion was the most  of them all so far. I encourage you to try again  this time with something that seems realistic instead of absurd.
