Let's review the facts, just the facts.

Gated community, Trayvon circles Z in his car, Trayvon heads toward the "back" of the dwellings, Z gets out of car while on the phone, Z sees Trayvon run behind the back and starts running to keep Tray in sight, Z tells dispatch that suspect is running and is told not to pursue, Z says "ok" then turns away to find a street sign or address number to assist the police call, Z heads back to his car, Trayvon circles back and attacks Z.

case closed, no jury needed.  Self defense.

I was under the impression that it was a gated community, which is not necessarily a "public street"...
A gated community is exactly that. I've live in one. You must show either a resident ID to pass the guards or you must call them, give their name and tell the guard that you are expecting them. Then they must show pic ID to enter the gate. Your vehicle was given a tag that was issued for 6 month increments that you could put on your vehicle to enter. The one I was in was so large, that call only allowed you to pass through 1 or 2 different gates at the most.

I think stalking, in a legal sense, is a little different.

http://definitions.u...com/s/stalking/

"A person who intentionally and repeatedly follows or harasses another person and who makes a credible threat, either expressed or implied, with the intent to place that person in reasonable fear of death or serious bodily harm is guilty of the crime of stalking."

Just sayin'...
And besides, that implies that Treyvon was acting completely innocently, and that Zimmerman had no reason to believe Treyvons action warranted following.
I have yet to see that Trayvon's actions warranted following. I'm sure that will be presented in court.

The call to 911 that George made referenced Trayvon acting in a suspicious manner.

I think Trayvons actions did warrant being followed.

What the hell does "acting suspicious" mean? You have no idea if he was being suspicious other than blindly giving someone the benefit of doubt--Which we don't and shouldn't do when their freedom and chance whether or not they commit a crime is at stake.

Don't be blind, wait for the trial and see what the evidence says.

Besides, apparently gate security sucked as there had been a rash of robberies on that street.
I wonder if it is really gated. Could just be a housing plan or an HOA type place. Anyone here know where it's at? You could do a google map street walk.

It could have been any number of things.

For instance...I saw a guy with a lawn mower, trying to start it, in the road in front of my house. I know everyone, in the thirty houses in my neighborhood, and the people that tend their lawns. I walked out and asked him if he was looking for a anyone in particular and could I help him. I knew something wasn't kosher, because I'd never seen him before...he avoided my question...and asked if I needed any yard work done. The whole situation didn't sit right with me, but there wasn't much more I could do.

The next day, I found out the people that live across the street had their lawn mower stolen. It just so happened that it was the the one I had seen the guy with the day before, according to the description.

There have been many times in my life that I would have followed someone like that to find out where they lived, just in case. I regret not doing it that day, to get one less thieving scumbag off of the streets...at least for a short time.

Unless Zimmerman is found guilty... the damage is already done by the media.

I would like to thank those of you who are encouraging vigilante justice in all of this. I hope you all stay safe, because whatever you believe, it will come down to, literally, black and white...regardless of what you think.

When a mob comes after you...they don't care that you took their side and won't hear a word you say.

This is exactly what makes my blood boil.  The media took the 911 tapes and determined early that this was a hate crime.  Marches, Protests and threats began.  A congresswoman says Trayvon was racially profiled and was hunted like a rabid dog.  The media lynched Zimmerman.  This country was on the verge of another race riot!  Purely contrived by the actual race baiters we see on TV daily.

I very much dislike how easy some people like to jump onto a bandwagon only to find out later they were duped.

That would be very difficult to do. This isn't a fence like you have around your yard. Many are walled. There's also usually security cameras at intervals. Gated communities also have their own security force that patrols. At least the one I was in did.

I was questioning if this was really a gated community also.
