Which is all well anf good and frankly what anyone involved in a war would do.
However, the sticky question remains - how do they know they're hitting Hamas and not innocent bystanders?

I must not fear. Fear is the Mind-Killer. It is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and to move through me. And when it is gone I will turn the inner eye to see it's path.
When the fear is gone, there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

There is no way of completely removing that risk since the Hamas and the Hizballah intentionally use civilians as shields.  To refrain from retaliation due to the chance of harming innocents would effectively give Hamas and Hizballah free reign to act with impunity.  No military on earth is more closely scrutinized than the IDF.  If the numbers of civilians killed and injured become great enough then perhaps those civilians will make an attempt to deny this duo cover.  It sounds brutal but it is the reality as it exists for Israel.

No, El.....it sucks, but if someone were shooting at you and your family almost daily and then when you went to sort things out with them they answered the door with their children standing in front of them, what do you do?  Buy kevlar vests and pray the crazies will some day just grow tired of it and quit? :unsure2:

Nope.  I'd do them all in.  I know I'm insane though.
