It's so sad that the woman had no one who even missed her for a week. That's a true picture of being alone in the world.

The house isn't isolated so it's a little surprising to me that the little girl didn't go outside and maybe tell someone that something was wrong with her mother. Poor child. I hope she'll be alright. Article doesn't mention any other family.
