I think perhaps I understand what you mean.  There are so many people with needs in this world, needs that could be met by ourselves if only we didn't expend so much energy in fruitless endeavors.  You specifically mentioned atheists and Christians.  The implication is that debate may never result in conversion of one to another?  It would be interesting to conduct a poll which summarized the reasons for such conversions.

Yes, we need to show more love, and that should be realized as a positive effort regardless of your belief about religion.

I liked this, thanks for posting.  I agree, debates are entertaining, but that is all, no one, well least as far as I know, have ever been converted by it.  A good debater can switch sides on a dime and win no matter what he argues.  Villiage athiest and fanatical believers are spun from the same cloth.  They mistake the tree from the forest and need a black and white in which to live in.  Just another part of the problem, but I guess most of us are also a part of what is wrong with the world.

Scientific method refers to a body of techniques for investigating phenomena, acquiring new knowledge, or correcting and integrating previous knowledge.[1] To be termed scientific, a method of inquiry must be based on gathering empirical and measurable evidence subject to specific principles of reasoning.[2] The Oxford English Dictionary says that scientific method is: "a method or procedure that has characterized natural science since the 17th century, consisting in systematic observation, measurement, and experiment, and the formulation, testing, and modification of hypotheses."[3]


One can not take a faith of any flavor as any different then another unless one has some knowlegde the other does not have that meets the above requirments. In saying that all religion must be true and or false.  Non can meet the above, so are all reliogions correct or (wrong) to me it makes them all wrong. And faith is far from a science that we can all agree on such as gravity.

Science means nothing to the blind? Really? Do you care to back up that statement with anything, like proof?

there no proved we even spoke a statement

prove to me someone is blind

because what is blind to the blind person

I do not know?

is it seeing no light or is it more than that

I never look into it

but if you see color like black you see something
