Wicked. Does anyone know whats actually happening? Is it eddy currents making it float but whats making it melt? Is there also heat being produced?

No idea, but if you find out please put info and links here. I'd be interested to find out how much energy the coil is using to both keep the metal in the air and melt it.

Yeah it's Eddy Currents being generated in the coil, Which heats the pipes up.
