New aura photography technique?

I have seen a lot of Kirlian photos, but these are quite different:

I made this one 20 years ago:

I used an ignition coil as used in cars, a large flat electrode and photographic emulsion.

The photos I made were the result of  the socalled 'cold emission of electrons'.

Cool photo. You must be pretty knowledgeable on photography and mechanics to do something like this.

That was looooong ago. But I worked for 10 years in a lab of Eastman Kodak.

And the apparatus I did it with was quite simple actually.
