Quote

A 12-year-old boy had to endure the agony of having a 4cm-long fish stuck in his throat for 14 hours before it was surgically removed.

Philip Muan from Rumah Endawie Nangka Jela Engkari in Lubok Antu caught the ikan puyu (climbing perch or anabas testudineus) while fishing in a drain near Batang Ai with his 10-year-old brother at about 9am on Sunday.

He removed the hook and tried to bite the head of the fish to kill it but it slipped into his mouth and lodged itself in his throat.

A knife may have been a better way to cut it's head off. Heck, even a rock could have done the job. Unless you like the taste of fish slime, scales, and head.
Glad he is okay though, here's hoping he learned a lesson.

I can't think of a witty pun for this one.

I'm spilling my coffee in laughter however.

Saw a similar thing on "1000 Ways to Die". A woman had just caught her first fish and was screaming with joy when said fish, propelled by the woman's jerking of the line, flew into her mouth, lodged in her throat and suffocated her.
