I agree with you here! I believe we're all God's children, and I don't think that contradicts my Christian upbringing. He's
Our Father, not just Jesus's.
Limiting divinity to requiring that one be a son (how about daughter too?) of God was indeed silly. Being the messenger of God (might as well call him "son" in that case too) is pretty awesome. Christians debated fiercely over the degree of Jesus's divinity for generations; the concept of what was "God in the flesh" also wouldn't be able to die, so I bet it was a difficult idea to grasp onto. Other possible qualities of Jesus's divinity (birth, miracles) certainly aren't required for Jesus to be divine.
I think it's also worth noting here that Jesustook around three days longer to resurrect by the Bible's accounting.

the " god in flesh " concept is already dead " based on the bible "
no offense to christians but the way i see it .. is that they wanna shift the bible words the way they want or see fit
when it's so clear in the bible jesus always deny divinity or being a god in anyway and alway put him self beneath and lower
than the entity who sent him which he refer to as father " god "
that's been always mentioned in the bible and most christians try to explain that from " out " of the bible
so the only difference between the two religion is the son concept which muslims believe is figureative speaking
and christian tend to think he's a pshyicall son which muslims would never agree to
so the topic is not really an imaginary ran wild it's very logic
Allah, there is no God but He the Living the Eternal. no slumber can seize Him nor sleep
to Him belongs all that is In heavens and earth. who is there can intercede In His presence except what He permits
He knows what lies before them and what is after them. Nor shall they comprehend of his knowledge except as He wills
His throne extends over the heavens and earth
the preserving of them fatigues Him not and He is the most High and Glorious
