so the comperssion is not that far fetched there has been samiliar things in israel history
that guy you referring to is israeli jewish person
so a truth coming out of him is really worth the reading and he did not read his own version of history
he's a historian

what you need to use as your weapon here
did israel did something like  this against their " Own " people like here .. now that's a debate is a winner
I can believe it since a large minority of Israelis seem to be self hating and think their government is always in the wrong.  It really IS a strange society to be so adamantly defense oriented but to also have minorities like this...
I'm not trying to insult you KoS but I sometimes do struggle to understand what you are saying.  Mostly your English is good but sometimes I just don't understand you.  I can only imagine if I tried to use Arabic.  I might learn to speak it...maybe... but I don't think I could ever write it.

but they are used

ohh and i meant to say he did not  " write " his own version of history my bad

No news reports say so but I would not be surprised if they were. Russia hasn't completely abandoned the regime in Damascus yet but Assad is becoming an increasing liability to the Russians so it's only a matter of time.

Considering the people who armed them beforehand are most likely still arming them now, it is an issue. Because they are condemning the Syrian government whilst still enabling them to commit further atrocities.

Yamato, this is about what's happening in Syria so how this is relevant to Israel is beyond me. Most of what you say is beyond any logical comprehension. If you want to go on another rant about Israel, do it in a thread that was specifically created for said rant and please don't go on another off-topic rant.

However, seeing as I have an itch I need to scratch and facts that need to be corrected, I shall continue. Most of what the IDF uses, i.e tanks, small arms, artillery etc. is developed and made in Israel. Israel has a massive arms industry and sells billions in weapons systems all around the world. Some of the equipment in service is American in origin but much of what is used in the IDF is made in Israel.

Anyway, facts corrected. Back on topic now please.

So if this is the case, where is the condemnation of the Russian government?
So you couldn't find any evidence either.   If something is very likely to be happening, given the amount of defections we know are happening over there, we should expect evidence soon.

Yeah it's a very big deal.  It makes Russia look terrible for very obvious reasons.

Don't waste your wind spewing one more word telling me what to do again.  This is not an "off-topic rant" this is making a comparison between two things, one of which is the topic, and in the process, you getting your own ignorance served back in your face.  The similarities here are stunning and your bag of bureaucratic BS doesn't matter when innocent people are being kidnapped, slaughtered, tortured, and oppressed like they are in Gaza and the West Bank today.  I can swamp the board with new topics that are precisely what "topics" you insist they be, but I'm not going to let little Zionists dictate what comparisons we make from which ones we don't.

If "most of the arms Israel uses are made in Israel" then that's another great reason for the US not to arm Israel that Syria wouldn't enjoy in the absence of Russian arms.   Go run downtown and get some New Zealand bureaucrats to arm Israel.  That might put your money where your mouth is instead of mine.

Where is the condemnation of the Russian government?  So far, I'm the only one doing it from what I've seen here.  If Russia is arming them right now, of course that's going to make Russia look terrible and why wouldn't it?   Tangential rants about "the Arabs" probably won't apply all of a sudden and hopefully we'll have a few extra people around here, if Russia is sending large arms shipments to Syria, start to understand why some of us are so adamant about the US not arming Israel.

News reports speculating aren't evidence apparently.

A comparison doesn't take two pages to explain it. A comparison doesn't take up half a response and all the relevant material isn't shoved to one side so you can stand on your soapbox and beat the drum of idiocy again.

If you want to talk about Israel, do it in a different topic. If you want to talk about Syria, then this is the right thread.

You're wasting your breath telling me what to do, my Zionist dictator friend.

And of course conjecture isn't evidence!   You can do it with evidence or without.

No condemnation, from you.   Since I'm the one that brought up condemning Russia in the first place, it's just you sloppily trying to wipe your own grime off on me.

I'm still waiting for the evidence, I'm asking publicly about the evidence here, and I'm sure as hell not hiding from it.   If Russia has armed Syria since this civil war began they will be wearing egg on their face precisely like the US is from arming Israel.   No matter how badly you want the US to keep wearing a bullseye on its forehead for your red-headed welfare child of the Middle East, it's not going to help you here.

No condemnation, from you.   And that figures because at least you're being consistent.    But when we do have evidence of Russia arming Assad after these civilians were killed I won't waste time before I start blaming Russia for their guilty share in these atrocities by providing the weapons that were used in those atrocities.   That Israel is such an enormous arms manufacturer as you're always so quick to point out, that is so much more the reason not to arm them.  Not arming Israel is such a hateful proposition for you isn't it, when it's my money and not yours.

That's fair but don't you think the Russians already deserve a large measure of blame just because of giving Assad cover in the UN?  If they were not doing so then real threats of armed intervention on the model of Libya could have slowed or even stopped his thuggery by now.  I'm not sure where one would go to produce proof of actual arms manifests that show what weapons were shipped and when but Syria has been a major arms client of Russia since the 60's.  In fact in 2007 Russia was highly embarrassed by the strike that destroyed Syria's nuclear facility.  Apparently their fire control radars never saw the aircraft inbound at all.  I'm not sure but I think they had an older version of the S 300 anti aircraft missiles that Iran has been clamoring for now for a few years.  Their helicopters and APC'S are all obviously older Russian type equipment.

Well i had a look on the army of Syria and nearly all of equipment is from the Soviet Union, being Russia they still have old cold war arms in storage ready to sell to any country.

Yes they deserve blame for their diplomatic support of Assad for the reasons you've given.  Imagine if Assad had pie in the sky technology and the opposition had rocks....it might be a lot less bloody that way, but not more just.

Close. Replace "loony" with "well educated individual" and you'd be right. Also, care to spill some bile about the link I posted?
