This obesity thing is going to easily double the cost of Obamacare (if it is not shot down tomorrow).  How is this nation going to survive $2 trillion a year deficit on healthcare alone?  With obesity will come the autoimmune diseases and obamacare does not cover the treatment for these.

a) because it saves costs
B) because Obamacare is not national healthcare
c) obesity does not cause autoimmune diseases

You don't need the government or doctors to tell you if you're fat.

If you don't care about being fat, then the government shouldn't care either.

It's not. The OP has nothing to do with the government.

Of course you're correct again - the government has NOTHING to do with healthcare in the US.   The article/research/recommendations were from a private entity but that hardly means it cannot be used as justification to look at "more equitable sharing of the healthcare cost burden" or some such other govspeak tripe.  The recommendations are reasonable and it will be good for those who take them to heart.  My only point is that healthcare expense has become a huge issue and our fearless leaders in DC are beginning to look about for goats.....

No it doesn’t.  It costs the same and costs will go up.  All this does is re-distribute the source of funds and they are limited.

Oh, that’s a good one.  Forcing everyone to purchase healthcare *IS* national healthcare.  If it’s not national healthcare then way do all the main websites on the subject end in .gov?

It’s a contributing cause.  We could just say diet and other toxins in the environment.  But obesity is becoming more prevalent than the heavy metals.  Actually, they are both combining into one huge disaster.  And because it is not evidence based, Obamacare will be simply overwhelmed.
