Hey guys, I'm sorta new to the site and all but recently I think i had a paranormal encounter that I would like to have explained. I was simply just waking up from a dream this morning and as soon as I open my eyes it's as if some sort of invisible force gave me 2 smacks on the neck, felt like smacks from an invisible person because I felt the wind between each smack. I would really like some sort of explanation for this since I personally never had any encounters with this sort of stuff other than some evp sessions I conducted with the TUNGOICATOR crew (a story for another time) and I'm sort of freaking out right now hoping that I'm not in danger. :X

I can tell you right now that the door was open the whole time and it definitely wasn't a prank or anything since I was awake when it happened so I could have seen whoever it was doing it to me if it were an actual person. I know that you were joking btw but i just wanted to give some more details on the incident. lol 8 |

Welcome to UM.

That story sounds unnerving but it may not ever happen again.  I saw the ghost of my cat, which convinced me of ghosts but it happened only once.  I guess she moved on. I would try not to dwell on it and see what happens.  If it does happen again you might want to look up the history of where you live, land and building if that is possible.

I don't have much of an explanation, but sort of the same thing happened to me once. I was just laying in bed not yet asleep when something felt like it slapped the top of my foot. Not hard enough to hurt but definetly enough to get my attention. lol never happened again though.

If you were "just waking up" as you stated, you probably weren't fully awake yet and were still half dreaming.

Nothing to worry about at all. All kinds of crazy things can happen during the hypnagogic/hypnotomic states.

As others have mentioned, it could have been one of those "still half asleep" occurrences. On the other hand, I've had similar experiences quite often--and not when I was half asleep. The touches I have felt were gentle and affectionate, however, nothing like slaps on the back.

Let us know if it happens again.

All right, I see what's going on. This is the opening salvo in what will be an escalating series of juvenile tit for tat exchanges. Well titted! Stand by for my upcoming tat. --Dr. Sheldon Cooper

'Twould be a good idea to get some sage and smudge your room (google to find out basics), or clap throughout the room, or sprinkle sea salt on the floor and then sweep/vacuum it up.  These are good ways to clear stagnant energies.  If you ever feel threatened, do research and/or post for suggestions.

You are live and in charge, it's all cool, no worries.

It's possible sleep paralysis.

I've had things touch me, and swish through my ear as if they were entering me or escaping. I've had the bed shake and I've had something sit beside me on the bed, which made my body fall towards it from the pressure of it as I lay, heard the springs in the bed and everything.

Sound like typical sleep paralysis mate. See Seeker79. He may be able to help you but please, you need to be open to the explanation that it is not paranormal activity - this could drive you insane. The mind is a very powerful thing and yes it can allow you to see and feel things like this that seem so real even when that is not their exact explanation..

Try not to be affraid.
