Hey there guys.

I have to admitt that I am kinda writing this one to get a little pity. I'm sitting here at home after being sick for almost a week. My gums hurt and I have a sore or a cut or something almost everywhere in my mouth and my head hurts. Please let the awws and mussi mussi pity commence!

Oh but before I got sick I managed to translate another troll story for you guys!

This one is one of the more famous ones we have about a female troll called Gilitrutt:

http://www.themyster...tory-gilitrutt/

Hope you guys enjoy!

Regards Joe.

Ps: Note the somewhat misogonistic flavour of this tale, funny how times were different.

Hi Joe...thank you for posting the link to the story; I'll read it shortly. First, I wanted to post a message full of "awww you poor baby" and cooing and all other sorts of gooshy comforting noises. Wish I were there to tuck you in on the couch with a nice warm blankie, and coo over you in person. (Depending on your perspective, that could be either very nice or really scary.)

Seriously, sweetie, I hope you feel better soon.

I liked the story very much! It was nice to read one in which the lazy person mended her ways after getting a fright. I like that much better than the garden variety "So the troll ate her" (i.e., she got her comeuppance) type of story.

All right, I see what's going on. This is the opening salvo in what will be an escalating series of juvenile tit for tat exchanges. Well titted! Stand by for my upcoming tat. --Dr. Sheldon Cooper

Cool story bro! and with a moral too :D

Cool, I enjoyed it. But, shouldn't this be in the writers section?

I didn't write it Nikki, it's an old Icelandic Folklore. I only translated it.

So nice to read a story starting with 'Once upon a time'.

Like most folklore tales it is somewhat familiar but no less enjoyable for it.

Thanks for posting hooko22. :)

I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen anything to make me believe there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. There's no mystical energy field that controls my destiny. Anyway, it's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense.

Poor troll. Worked all winter and then got zip.

Here at Intel we make processors on 12 inch wafers. And, the individual processors on the wafers are called die. And, I am employed to check these die. That is why I am the DieChecker.

A teacher asks her class to use the word contagious.

Roland, the class swot, gets up and says, 'Last year I got the measles and my Mum said it was contagious.'

'Well done Roland,' says the teacher. 'Can anyone else try?'

Katie, a sweet little girl with pigtails says, 'My Gran says there's a bug going round and it's contagious.'

'Well done, Katie,' says the teacher. 'Anyone else?'

Little Johnny jumps up and says, 'Our next door neighbor is painting his house with a 4 cm brush and my Dad says it will take the contagious.'
