"A Gainesville man is accused of killing a parrot after an argument with his girlfriend got out of hand.

According to an arrest report, the man told a policeman: “It’s my parrot. I can do whatever I want with it. I threw it so I wouldn’t hit my girlfriend.”

Catapulted into outer space? What's wrong with you people? This waste of human life needs to be slammed into the ground a la Wile E. Coyote when he's got one of ACME's famous catapults. ;) He slammed that poor bird into the floor, then the same should happen to him. And if he doesn't die the first time, repeat as many times as is necessary for him to die as well.
Illegal immigration isn't a new concept in the US. Just ask the Native Americans.

Suppose we should be grateful he never had a young child to hand...guy should be tarred and feathered and tied up to a tree and be left out for nature to get its own payback.

5 month old parrot is basically a baby, that poor bird. That is akin to killing a baby... he should be thrown around and beat the **** out for that, if he would do that to a parrot, image what he would do to a baby who is defenseless. I own three Conures, two are three month old Sun Conures and one is a five year old Nanday Conure. These birds are loving and friendly, parrots would do anything to make you happy and feel loved.
A man's ethical behaviour should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties and needs; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death. - Albert Einstein

She had a beer, so what? Ridiculous reason to be fighting with your partner.  She should have called him to let him know what she's up to and that she'll be coming home late.  These people lack proper communication, leading to an innocent parrot's death.  They both need to attend anger management class or see a psychiatrist maybe even the mental institution.

I feel so bad about the parrot. May it rest in peace. :-(

I was in a cheerful mood....until I read this...for flocks sake..killing a 5 month old parrot  because of a spat ?  What a total moron...  This moron should receive harsher punishment..to be made an example of...  I would hate to see what he would have done if a little baby was in the same room at the time when he was  that insane !!  Excuse my French but this guy is an effing moron !!  I cannot stand that behaviour...

Parrots are such  beautiful birds............The parrot most likely had a higher IQ than the moron that killed it .. <-- I'd lay money on it too !!
