The Guardian said:

Ethnic minorities living in the UK feel more British than their white counterparts, research has revealed.
Muslims are the most likely of all groups to identify with the concept of "Britishness", the Institute for Social and Economic Research found.
The report's authors say the results rubbish suggestions that ethnic groups are unwilling or unable to integrate into British society and show that fears over the negative impacts of immigration on cultural identity are overstated.
The study, named Understanding Society, looked at the socioeconomic circumstances of people living in 40,000 UK households

A more interesting study would have been to ask what they think 'being British' actually means....

This is partly because most ethnic Britons are still obsessed with ancient tribalism and still won't wake up to the fact that actually, they are all members of BRITISH tribes.   Silly b*ggers.    It was much the same 1500 years ago, as I recall ....

Thats offensive.

British geneology is 95% Briton with trace amounts of Angle, Saxon and Celtic DNA. These groups are also our cousins off the continent so there is very, very little difference.

I am not Pakistani, Afgani, Indian, Chinese, Libyian, Kurd, Serbian or anyone else and they most certainly are not British regardless of how long they've lived here. I also think suggesting they are British is offensive to most of them too.

You're right - if you're referring to immigrants. (Although, that last sentence is a bit of an assumption). But the article was clearly referring to 2nd and 3rd generation migrants as well. Any reason they shouldn't feel "British"? If you're born and brought up in Britain, then you're British - even if that's mixed with another cultural heritage. Culture isn't genetic.

According to the Nazi biologist and their heir it is, and the believe in that is the problem we face in this case. But it is just as true as that the Reich lasted 1000 years.

As an Englishman I can state with 100% confidece that in Britain most immigrants have not integrated into our society.

There is simply no pressure forcing them to do so as our politicians have allowed multi-culturalism. Do you know that in England we have first, second and third generation immigrants that cant even speak a word of English? I can only guess that the author of the newspaper article has never been to one of our large cities. The divisions in our cities are obvious as the different groups isolate themselves from each other.

Very few English people live in English cities anymore and I could tell you why but I'd be accused of being racist. Thankfully we have immigrant politicians like Warsi to comment on the attitude that a lot of immigrants have towards white people. Britains cities are a breeding ground of Muslim extremism producing lots of people who resent Western society and Western cultural values.

I intend getting out of it before the problems start as many other Britains have done. Austrailia anybody?

I don't think there's much bias in terms of the media reporting (whether the study itself is biased is another issue); both The Guardian and The Daily Mail reported the story in more or less exactly the same terms, taking the original Press Association report as the basis.  The PA report is basically a rewrite of the Institute's own press release, making it a very, very easy story to write, hence it will probably pop up in a few other places when they have a few column inches to fill and not much news to put there!
