if evolution....or creation for that matter, was intelligent....then why do I have nipples?

Well, up until about three months into gestation, we're all sort of unisex; the organs which later become male and female sexual parts are indistinguishable up until around one-third of the way through the pregnancy. Females need nipples for nursing; males don't do this, but the substrate needed for the females to have nipples is present in males as well; males simply don't develop these in the same way that females do, and they remain essentially vestigial.
Try to realize it's all within yourself / No-one else can make you change / And to see you're really only very small / And life flows on within you and without you. / We were talking about the love that's gone so cold and the people / Who gain the world and lose their soul / They don't know they can't see are you one of them? / When you've seen beyond yourself then you may find peace of mind / Is waiting there / And the time will come / when you see we're all one and life flows on within you and without you. ~ George Harrison

i rest my case

Really?

Maybe you have them so you can pierce them?

You are thinking intelligence would be perfect?

In your estimation imperfection is having nipples?  Because there is no 'need' for them?

Perhaps evolution will remedy the imperfection eventually?

After all, these thing take time.

And evolution has got buckets of that.  There was a whole other world of critters before the present lot came along.  Seems they ate themselves out of existence but them being here has helped us be here.

"I Rest My Case"  lol!  That is so funny!  What would happen if evolution were to say that so soon into its existence!

No, it would not. Of course, I won't get into how incomparable human beings and automobiles are, but anyway...

Wisdom teeth, the appendix, a back no intended for upright walking (which keeps physiotherapists in a job and makes chiropractors look like they're doing something), our brain itself is a layered construct of newer layers over older ones.

Then there's the Recurrent laryngeal nerve...
It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

right....spare parts that serve no purpose....creating species and killing them off....none of these things are intelligent. Is it intelligent to have hair under your arm? No its is not. Just admit that either God is flawed, or that evolution is random, just as it should be.

Well, evolution isn't random... but it can certainly leave behind a lot of useless vestiges...

Evolution isn't random, it's worthwhile to look into it a little further before saying stuff like that.

Wow, great minds think alike I suppose. How many times is that today that we've independently written the same thing?

Heh. :P

While evolution's path may be random (if we were to rewind the clock and play things forward, it's unlikely the same course of evolution would reemerge. Something that was shown with a genetic study recently where bacteria were given a recreated genome of an ancient form of bacteria and took on a different path.
However, the actual process itself is non random.

Broaden your horizons Mule.

Even if humans create a dead end system and run with that, there is time for another species to be evolved from the dust of human extinction.
Evolution has already proved that it is able to enhance and improve on the older forms.

Not to mention that there are likely other human type species - even in this Galaxy which have chosen a different path which is not a dead end system and thus  thrive with their environment.

What?

He means he is a mule... Evolutionary dead end = mules are sterile beings.

I think so.

Evolution is dependant on time.

When it comes to the philosophy of time we dont know if its a dimension or a creation of the mind. If its mind then evolution is connected to your mind.
