Is there one true religion for the world?
This has come about from having morons and witnesses knock on the door a few times.. myself.. I am a pagan.. I believe in many gods just not one..
So far I have found paganism the only religion that does not say 'this is the true religion' for the world.

Every major religion in its eyes is the true religion for everyone.. problem is its not..

My personal belief.. the gods are clever.. they know man is different and generally man will not think the same as their neighbour..

Is there one true religion.. no.. every religion is correct for those that believe in a god.. gods or goddesses..

The biggest problem is for me.. that each of the major religions state 'their book is the truth of god' and everyone else 'lies'

Or that their book was inspired by god.. yet it was written by man.. and we all know that man is flawed.. so even if it was inspired by god.. it has man's interpretation of the word of god..

Personally.. I honestly think if the world was pagan things would be a better place..

there is no one right religion for the world, all religions are right for the world we just need to work harder on helping people understand that theres more than one path to happiness and fulfillment and no one religion is more right than the other. I know I'm naive in saying this but i hope in my lifetime i can see people overcome petty squabbles over religion and just accept the fact that others do not believe in exactly the same thing.

None.

Belief in a god/s is fine, but many (most) religions are toxic.

There is no one right religion.  The whole purpose of life is to experience "duality and separation" so a "duality" of religions is just another way of experience separation - which teaches the soul what it means and how it feels to be separate something it can't learn in Heaven due to those overwhelming feelings of oneness and connectedness that so many near death experiencers comment on in their NDE descriptions.

None, they are all barbaric at their core.

Buddhism if anything, but that's a philosophy.

Pastafarianism or maybe Last Thursdayism.

I doubt you could get the world to agree on a favorite color, let alone what the one true religion is.

Religion isn't meant to be one-size-fits-all.

"What is the right religion for the world"? Materialism, by definition.

What's the right religion to get out of this world? Spiritual work is the gig.

"But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal." Matthew 6:20

"The only way to win is to end up being free. It is imposible to preserve a self-image and reach any depth in spiritual work. A person pays a terrible price for his fantasies about himself. It takes a great deal of energy to sustain them. And even worse, it deprives him of the one motivation for change that he needs to get through the inevitable difficulties he must encounter." Swami Rudrananda

I don't think there is a 'right' religion for the whole world, but there can be a society which allows religions to peacefully co-exist.

We have different religions, because people and cultures are different, but in all religions, there is an element of 'truth'. By that, I mean that beyond the external dogma and observances, there is a deeper spiritual and mystical element which underpins that religion.

When that spiritual element is accessed or attained (through prayer, fasting, meditation, letting go of the ego, etc.), a deep, largely non-verbal, life-changing realization can occur.

That point of realization/satori/enlightenment is the peak of the mountain, metaphorically, and most of us are wending our own particular way towards that, whether we are aware of it or not.

Some of us may follow a path alone or converge onto a path followed by millions of others (Islam, Christianity, etc.) Some of us, sadly, may deny that we are on any path and be completely hardened to the possibility that there is a spiritual dimension to life.

And, there are some, also, who may join a particular path and pretend to follow it, but have ulterior, egoistic motives and no real desire to reach the spiritual destination.

There is already one religion for the world, money. Not quite got the whole world yet but nearly there...

I think the battle over the "right" religion has gone on long enough... Don't you?

Still show no sign of ending though. This argument will only ever end when one religion destroy's (not a great choice of words) all others, but then new ones will be created by those not happy with it, back to square one...
