Actually the way it works is the dial's broken. It flips up and down stations much like when you channel surf on a tv.
How much time did you spend recording this?
(Also, after listening again with the sound up, it sounds like Microsoft Sam.)
The second one... I did hear a voice, but couldn't make out anything.
Did you pay for this one, or make it yourself out of curiosity?
I spent literally only 5 minutes doing this recording. I hard lined the box on a whim directly into my digital recorder's mic input (why none of my questions are heard, it only records what comes through the box directly). Had earbuds then going from the recorder to me in the headphone out, to hear realtime.
I stated and asked only these questions...and I've only done it twice so far:
Said hi and hello, is anybody here?
got a "reply" - female voice
Said, my name is ________, but some people call me, ___________. Can you say my name?
got "what sounded" like my latter name I mention in both a male and female (same) voice
Said hi and hello a few more times and if anyone could hear me.
got that male clear voice of "hi"
then asked, Do you know you are dead? Did something bad happen to you here?
got the "response posted above of ______ __________ ______. Anyone guessing what it sounds like yet? LOL
and that was it....stopped recording and played it all back through Adobe Soundbooth where I cut the snippets. I know an investigative skeptic would want to hear the whole session, so I should also just post that. It sucks you cannot hear my questions, so any skeptic would say, I was tailoring my non-heard questions after the fact in accordance to what I thought might be made out....but I didn't. Like I said, I'm just trying this out to see if any results could be found that make sense.
I bought the box and its not a mod. Found one of those DAS sb7's in a scratch and dent sale LOL. I liken it to the 2012 Ouija board game....yes I said game. It's entertainment that some would argue is more (and would argue not to mess around with those boards

)...I'm not sold because I realize the pitfalls of RF reception, yet its entertainment value is high. This seemed the best over the so-called shack hacks that literally have words coming through on every other station. This is mostly white noise due to the speed of sweep and it never pauses like you see those other hacked boxes do..in fact many of them will stop sweeping all together if you watch them demo'd on youtube or the net - yeah the interwebs. LOL. plus every other frequency on those homemade ones has a radio voice blip coming through. This is far cleaner with minimal bleedover. You can also sweep in reverse, at different speeds, fastest being best I suppose in theory.... It sweeps through like 10 extra bottom stations below normal radio broadcast range down into the 70s on FM. most radios turn over at 82-83 point something. It supposed to scan through 350 frequencies in 18 seconds. (And don't get me wrong, I do realize any RF receiver is capable of picking up ham, cell phones, or other random transmissions so again, its all suspect to that) It's still amazing when you will hear nothing but sweep, until you ask a question and get some kind of voice reply that just sounds a bit different than the syllables that might blip through from a DJ...coincidence, maybe, probably, likely...dunno. Look, I'm not looking to debate the validity of any of this with any skeptics because I know and realize the logical argument (and not saying you either, just in general), I wanted to post out of pure fun....
Anyhow...there's the little bit of radio fun for the night. Beats sitting in a circle with your fingers lightly touching a doodad that's supposed to move around a haunted board. wink wink.
btw, your avitar is wiggin me out! LOL
