Romanian gangs of pick - pockets and thieves are leaving Spain en masse to continue their "trade" at the London Olympics.
They have total freedom of movement and residence in all EU nations and cannot be refused admission, by Law. Is it not time for the rest of the EU to wake up (UK included) and vary the terms of their accesion treaty ? This is a special case because the Roma have brought so much misery from their thieving to almost every EU member state.
In Spain, especially the Costas, they are ruining the tourist industry - Barcelona is by far the most likely place that you will lose all you have - all of your holiday money, passports, credit cards etc.
My viewpoint? Romanians do not deserve the freedom of movement afforded to them - they are a parasitic cancer on the EU and should be contained within their own borders, except for those who have genuine jobs to go to.
Am I being reactionary? Probably. But I live in Benidorm where the gangs have been thriving, bringing their tiny children here to rob from stores, and as "fronts" for their parents to steal from unwary tourists.
Lock them all away behind their national borders is my Clarion Call, but who will join me??

WOW they moved out of France? I wonder if it's to get the 300 euros per person given to them by the French on the way out? Then will come back after the looted the Olympic village.

I dont mind the idea that if they havent got anything to bring (and by anything i mean everyone regardless of race etc)
then dont come. open boarders is waste of time.
When you do get pick-pocketed what happens then? nothing.

I just cant help thinking that it is a very small minority of Roma that are decent, with the vast majority being the underbelly of Europe..
Keep them contained is probably the only answer, but this has to be at EU Commission level. The UK didnt even make them wait for 2 years like France, Germany, and Spain, they just opened the frontiers from day day 1 of their accession!

I watched something on Sky News that said they are coming over on coaches and not flying.They reckon they can stop at all the services on the way over and rob people at those too..

Just watching the same theme on BBC World News!... if anyone grabs you by the shoulder to do the "Ronaldo dance" then kick them into the kerb. This appears to be their preferred method of stealing from you according to BBC World News.

Geeze, if someone from the US talks about Hispanics like this they get jumped on like stink on **** from everyone in the entire world that has an opinion.Why do you guys get a free pass with Romanians...or anyone else for that matter?

The Romanian gangs are a very serious issue in Europe.... Barcelona is ranked as the most likely place that these gangs will steal everything that you have. Some of these gangs consist of 50+ members.
Of the Romanians that I know, with a permanent employment contract, in Germany and Spain the story is the same - they have left Romania BECAUSE of the gangs that operate there
