Facebook, Microsoft and the Washington worked together to develop the online voter registration application.

What could possibly go wrong?

Does this sound like a good idea to anyone.  Point of interest, Washington state is heavily democratic.

Eh, it's not a big deal... it's more like a gimmick than anything. All Facebook is doing is passing your name and birthdate to the Washinton State voters website. It's really no more than a link to another website.

Wow, now facebook is part of the liberal conspiracy to detriment the amount of Republican voters?

Not really a big deal.  Lot's of sites do this in election cycles.  HOPEFULLY they are working with the WA Sec of State to make sure that they are getting proper information. Once FB or anyone else sends this information to the WA SoS it will trigger a mailing of a voter registration form to that person.

I can't remember off the top of my head but during the 2004 election some website allowed the completion of a voter registration form to be done online.  Again, no big deal but the website didn't ask for all of the correct information nor did the form reach the proper offices.  Sorting them out (electronically and physically) cost time and money.

The only thing I worry about is if MS and FB are really keeping the information.

I'm sure there are probably checks but you know any 13 year old can identify themselves as being 26 on facebook.

I have to give liberals more credit that that. I don't agree with them most of the time, but I never thought all libs were dumb, just misguided . It would be the epitome of dumbness to cheat in a state you are going to win anyway. Now if it were in Nebraska... J/K!!
