Now the exploration begins ! And Who says there are no ET ~s !

not me..... :)

let's hope if they find something really juicy we will get to hear about it...... :D

and that the concerns of the Brookings report back in 1961 have been re-assessed....

quote...

"While face-to-face meetings with it [intelligent extraterrestrial life] will not occur within the next 20 years (unless its technology is more advanced than ours, qualifying it to visit Earth), artifacts left at some point in time by these life forms might possibly be discovered through our space activities on the moon, Mars, or Venus." – page 215

"Anthropological files contain many examples of societies, sure of their place in the universe, which have disintegrated when they had to associate with previously unfamiliar societies espousing different ideas and different ways of life; others that survived such an experience usually did so by paying the price of changes in values and attitudes and behavior." – page 215

Actually they have put special cameras on the Curiosity Rover so that Hazz can avoid any disturbing evidence....

"The car-size rover's very first images will come from the one-megapixel Hazard-Avoidance cameras (Hazcams) attached to the body of the rover."

:innocent:

@Hazz....just  teasing........ :P

yes we will, and the first pics will be amazing but no doubt there will be many on here in the next week saying bigfoot on mars oooooooo an alien hideout hahaha

why wait till next week......let's go for it now...LOL

this is the UFO / ET forum, after all..... ^_^

This is a video about Hale Crater. (Hale not Gale) The first part is about getting the image....to cut to the chase go to 4:30...

:w00t:

Remains of an ancient city on Mars?........YOU decide.......

:D

Just to slip into some speculation.....I think that if we ever get some kind of Official Disclosure, it will be about Ancient Ruins

on the Moon or Mars (or finding petrified wood or similar)....and it would be from a fresh mission....to avoid info that has been classified

and to exonerate the governments, army, airforce and navy of anything that has happened in the past.

So we'll see what comes from this latest Mars Mission.

Really Theres not even the closest form of a structure ! No how No Way , not today, not ever ! And I believe in E.T  like very few really do !
This guys a wack case IMO.

I think it's interesting....but you have to be open to an ancient civilization on Mars to give it a chance.

There's another video about it where 3 images are compared.....regarding JPEG distortions and if they match up...

The point being that if they do match up then..."logically JPEG distortion should be ruled out."  (they say)

And the conclusion at the end of this one is that...

'either ESA's Express Spacecraft took only one picture and spliced it into three....or...there really is something in that crater'

Wonder how long this rover will be active. Will be interesting to see if it has the longevity of Spirit and opprotunity.

Nope.

It's another example of some clueless twit who doesn't understand what he's looking at before declaring it's a city or a statue etc.

That 3d image of Gale Crater is a 2d false color photograph of Hale Crater overlaid on a 3d model that was generated from satellite data in order to produce a CGI image of what the crater would look like from an angle.

The square objects he thinks are buildings or streets are pixels and associated jaggedness from image compression from the original 2d photo generated by zooming in on it to the point that the original pixels are visible.

That's been shown on this forum before and debunked already.   It's blatant nonsense to anyone with a vague idea of what those CGI images mean.

edit: Need more proof?  Look at images of Hale Crater from satellite imagery and the areas being discussed and the city-scape mysteriously dissappears because it's not really there.  It's artefacts caused by a combination of image processing and CGI wizardry.

edit2:  Go here - http://viewer.mars.a...I_35S036W#start - which is much better quality imagery that he is using and explore the area he says have "unequivocable evidence" of civilisation.  There's nothing there but rocks and desert.  Of course those with a conspiracy theory oriented mind will just tell us that NASA have doctored the images to hide it all.  Any half-baked theory or poor quality evidence will trump reasoned arguments and high quality evidence when you start with your conclusion and dismiss anything you don't like as being part of a cover-up.

@Archimedes.......ok......thanks for post....:)....I don't know enough about the technical business of the images to argue any points with you.

I only brought it up because of what Stevoid said..... ^_^

Do you have anything to say about the other video on post 22...?

They say it's going to be active for 2 years or longer.

There's a recording of people talking about the mission before it landed safely.....on the 'Hangout Site' now.

It's good.....
