Christ was the one in the womb
when the devil reached out his claw
and tore the thread that connected our souls.

*

He is the husband of my youth,
my betrothed and begotten,
my promised one.
He has always waited
in the throne of my heart
steadfast and unmoving.

He was my fisherman.
He had no hook
and only a line as his bait.
He did not need to trick me
but only convince me.

*

His bait was the silver chord.
His feast was the life stream.
We partook in fish together.
Me and him alone
and just his broken bread.

I was his blood
and he was my body
on the day
we fell in love.

What was birthed from us
came from the sea
and had no end.

*

What was alive
had always seen death
but had never been dead.

I soaked until the reed was soft.
It was not tearable.
It was not capable of resetting
there was no way for repair.

It was merely stretched
and slightly crooked.
Gentle it was pressed
as I died,
as I gave up my liquid,
as I rolled up my bundle
as my hemp broke apart
in a trundle of sighs.

A Wizard's Mercy on a Drunken Poet

...so I hid only his left hand...
as an afterthought,
enchanted his cat into glassware.

Have you ever wondered if a person has come up to pray for you?

Hello there.
How are you?

She came to sit with me.
She revealed the message she uttered.
We glanced, not at each other.

I received what she had in joy
for any other reaction
would not make her
go away
it would not quiet her noise.

Her chanting,
her gentle words
were unique to only her.

She walked around casting spells
to whoever received them.

Whoever has received them -

it is up to your eyes
and that piece
wedged within
the two halves of your heart
to see them.

If you are blind
where can you go
to receive your sight?

Is there no-where?

Is there always blackness
until the end of time?

*

I did not need to ask the question:
Will there be births unto God?
For already her missiles were launched,
already were they at war,
already were they eating
each others children like animals.

*

Where is my river?
Where is my lake?
Why does only the farmer
have vegetables?

Over there I see a garden
but what do I know
about toil under back break?

*

Yes I am rough
but I have barely seen the sun
and they have torn me away
from my children.

Why should I not be mad?
Why should I not have my revenge?

**

Lapping at the pool of milk,
they were but kittens
still.

Some of them would die,
some of them would be flattened,
some would be feral,
some would be fat,
and some would get no air.

They swept the allergins
into a toxic fog
sticky with chemicals.

I only inhaled them
always
always
always
for days and days and days
and days

*

If I pinched them
and they were clogged
with dust
and they were purely gray
but had never
been smoking,
they were growing
and I touched them
with my wide open pores.

I was invincible
always

although the worms
had had their storms
and their wars.

**

What more amount of blazing love
could be settled
with our ultimate passions?

You struck me down my core
with a white hot slice.
This was cool and soothing.

One was left with an itch
and the other one was blue.
*
*

Am I to die
on this planet
utterly alone
with my Lord
in despair?

If it were true, I know I'd be
happy as I am and surely a lark
has never felt so gay.

With thee I am nakeder
than under the rain.
Oh how I've missed
the mists of the mountains.

Oh were is my love
among the mountains?
Oh where is the skin
of my youth?
Where are my kin,
and real brothers?
Are they among us?

Where can I find them?

It is okay to love one another.
It is okay to open up
to the point of commonality.
It is okay to let your heart
wrench once in a while,
a couple times before lunch
and after breakfast.

It cleanses the soul
to do one unto the other
as your heart would render
unto yourself,
for this was the purpose
of your twin brother -

but alas,
he has long been dead.

*
Into your mind came his imagery.
He persisted you in manifest.

You could not wave away his beckoning
so you took and made fat slabs.
You seasoned up his chest.

You made thin slices,
and stacked the torso
of his favorite tree.

Therefore you left him bleeding,
cried into the grass
with all of the tears
of a mother.

Sticky and red
he washed away quickly.
He was dead.

*

This was the Lord of the valley,
of the daisy,
of the bush,
of the family rats,
bleeding into the soil
their ever lasting offering.

And now
as it has always been -
unto you be the blood.

Look into my hands.
See that the holes of my chest are wearing.
Long they have hung, sheer and torn.
Always they have been ragged and worn.

How comfortably you slip in and out of them.
How good I feel, tickled over your breasts and arms.
How cold I have become in the center of your chest
as your medallion.

How refreshed I am as you scream from the storm.
Your shouting and my rain are exhilarating.

Where do you feel the pain?

As I go through the earth
Walking through the arid spaces
Of my mind
Traveling the expanse
Where nothing exists
I am comforted

In the realm of the all,
the beasts of the all
would hound me.
They would come
And sabotage my brain.
and take away my peace.

And so I sit quietly here
breaking apart the calcifications
and feed them to you gently.

You have yet to show your teeth.
I only hear a soft moist sound.

I found you in the place that I have always been.
Come into these deep caverns.
These monsters, our monsters, will not harm you.
I am here, I will always stand with you.

I have put a light as a seed of sand
in the center of your soul.
Though it is small it shall exceed all darkness.
Not one of these will touch you,
more than only with their slime.

You have been blind but I will give you my eyes.

If I bade you would you wade into the murkiness?
Could you trench through the wreckage and come out swimming?

It is not our goal just to be clean though fresh water has it's niceness.
I am a blaze and I want you to fly with me.

I am your heart
and you are my firebird.

Oh why have you burdened me,
have you consumed me day and night,
that I may not eat or work or play without hurting
or sleep in the night without waking
to find you more possessive of my soul?

I have been made poor,
for the invisible folly of an archaic past
has swelled within my mind
and taken away my wisdom.

I am the laughing stock of man
for the greatest misunderstanding
of all the ages has burrowed
through my flesh and become my chasm.

Your pressure is that of the pot.
I have been reduced to nothing.
Why have you become so grueling?

Am I as Nebuchadnezzar?
Should I claw at the earth
or should I tear through my chest
to find out what you want from me?

I will.

And I would chase you down
if you ever were to part from me.
If you ran, it would be your swiftness
that called me to come after you.
In the streets they would say I'd gone mad.

Why am I not full
though day after day you fill me?
Should I desire death so that you would be nearer
or should I consider this wonderful breath
and from all things breathing draw from it?

I am the queen of the _______'s. I have been sent to give word to the nations about the beginning of time and of the heritage of the one soul that was lost, but eternal, that always was and is to be found again. This is the story of all my children. I was born on the mountain under the first man and woman who had come direct from a star. I was the first born of the _______'s. Indeed I was the mother and father but I was also the child and I was curious in all my ways. As a pupil of my father I studied the stars and in my youth I tailed after my mother who put herbs and roots into her skirt pockets. I got to put my hand on all these things. My story is long and has been written time and time again, but with every telling it has lost it's meaning. Even I begin to feel lost at times, but then I remember, I am, and I have always been. Somehow I keep going on. There are times when there seems to be a deeper meaning and now seems like one of those times, for many things are changing and many things are becoming clear. There has been a prediction. A prediction that was made at the beginning of time and it has been my job to keep track of. You may say that I have been an arbiter of these events, for indeed it was I who first assigned them after seeing it's vision in the sky, by being the first to record it in the ancient books and in each generation I have been involved in the direction of it's causes, but - I do not claim authority over such things. I, like you, or any other created being am merely here to see the working out of what I knew had always been. You see, I was here for the division. I was here to see the separation of the light into darkness and I understand the avenues the soul takes under these various earthly incarnations, which are both, at the same time, propellations and the heaviest of all burdens. The midlands, which is where I dwell mostly, which is in the same place that evens out the night and day, can have some of the gloomiest of all seasons, but - there are times of extensive daybreaks and these are the times I will try to describe. I, being spirit, cannot speak directly from my mouth, but I must use a diviner and through my time I have used many of these. My first name, and the name I use until this day is _______.

It is true that there is a resurrection.
that occurs by the compellation of the spirit
that can usher you into complete faith.

Some are sent as prophets
You should listen and take heed
to the telling of a pure heart.

Be connected to God.
Be not afraid of your creator and master
for he has an easy and a loving hand.
If you understand not the fear
of losing the most precious thing
you understand fear not all
and if your fear is that of cowering from the whip
your spiritual man has not grown very tall.

If any should take you from your Lord,
do not listen! They serve only the purpose
of making exuses to avoid the excrutiating light
that leads to everlasting life.
If we are to suffer, we should suffer for righteousness
And if we should endure,
we should endure for the upbuilding of the kingdom of god,
which promotes love and kindness.
We must not accept that our hearts have been corrupted,
and that which dwells within us, the very drawer of breath
is the evil one or the one that would cause death.
Let the liars of the world renounce their nonsense
and let us be strong enough
to learn to hear the true voice of God,
who within your own ear will have no pretentions.

Who is your teacher?
Where do you get your information?
Is there no voice inside of you
compelling you this way or that?
Seek and you will find.
Knock and it will be answered.
You have been equipped more
than a stalk of corn that brings his ears into the sky.
