We are both
The mountain and the river
But we have been drawn apart
I need your coolness
To bless my heights
I've become so dry
I call you and you hear me
You ripple in reply
Your throat gurgles
And you rush
Rapids gush from your mouth
Into the salty sea
You roar to the clouds
You entice them with your steam
You're are a clever lover
You give me rain
And I give you clover

I erupt from my heart with heat
And our ancient timbers singe
Our saber teeth recede
They withdraw just as our claws
We have fallen

*

Our padded feet
Wince on manufactured stone

We are alone
One mind
Buzzing

We are
A massive moving swarm
Unidentified
In view of the earth

Not even a fleck
Participates in the ocean
As it moves it's body
As it does it's frothy dance

Who are we anyway
What do we give to the ocean
What do we give to the large white swirl
That travels
Which of us is in a trance

*

We may be nude
Or bundled in warm clothing
We may eat what we spear with sticks
Or have palliated past all swine
Let me probe you
Let me peer into your eyes

If I touch you
We have shared
If you have spoken
And have not lied
I've received your truth
And somehow
My body has replied

**

If we let go
Of these infallible objects
Where do they go

*

Those
Held by the law hang
Those that should fall
Smash and shatter
Pieces have built their layer
They cake the walls of the lair
They are remembered and told
By the truth teller
They are hidden
Or used as a rod
By the liar

Wake up
Oh you beast
Come forth you hideous monster
That I may see your beauty
I release you from the stronghold
No longer will I tie you down
It is you
Who birthed the butterflies
It is you
Who has opened your hand
And let them climb brilliantly
Through the columns
Of my soul

We must face the facts
We live in confusing times
There has been a shift in revelations
Things are in their sway
They are changing sides
There will be trick in the system
For the foolishly unwise

Let me take the paper
Burn it
And keep the answer secret
To hold it dear to only me
So it is forgotten
Though it is annointed
Though it is Holy
I will swallow it
Because it is the bitterest thing

I will let it muck up my mouth
With misinterpretation
I will miss while skewing
I will make a mess of my stomach pains
Hand what I have spilled
Over to be cleaned
Be sympathetic to the help

We can stand behind
The shadow of that pout
And pretend that you are smirking
Stay right there
While I come out

Shouldn't your heart have been open
Or is your conductor in the screen of your portable tv
Or do I stare from these beady eyes
That blink to the speed
Of your wallet growing empty

Have you yet
To come alive to see me
In the blood of your brother
And the warmth of his eyes

How big are his cheeks
I will never know
Only you have seen him
And even where his sun don't shine
He has seen me

I was the rod
Of the iron stick
I was the sceptor
But you would not listen
I did not want to abuse you
But I was confused
And I didnt want you to see me cry
I know that I exploded
In many ways
But to my defence
I tried to leave you in the safest jungle
And give you the tools
To tolerate the beasts
Even the ones to overcome them

You have survived
We are the mighty champions
We are alive

Be my soft edge
Since the sorcerers of the day
Are adverse to all the cutting
As I tip toe
As I transfer through the coals
I take you ahold
And I am gentle
My heart is the very liquid
My cup has burnished gold
The whip of your wings
Has kept me floating
You are the rapid vamp thats cold

My golden cavity is still boiling
My shapes I have yet to cast
You have extracted my artifacts
And still you keep on drilling

I shall make a foot stool
And put a servant upon it
He will be a fool for the king
Of decorated things

4 my god daughter

Her name has been spoken
It is in the mouths of the saints
In prayer they lifted her high
It was ordained from the beginning
That He would raise a soldier
That He would train her up
So she could fight
She is not bound by the world
Or chained to the ground
God spoke and his breath
became the wind beneath her
He called her his angel
And gave her courage for the flight

We were once the seed
We were somewhere far off
When the lowli men
Roamed the lands
Through a tunnel
Through a canal
Constantly dividing
And squeezing
Narrowly on a path
Our outer layers
Were shelled
They fell into the grass

They threw in red strands.
This was the life.
This was the spice.
This was the health of their stomachs
and their legacies surrendered to their kin.

They gathered around picnics
while bombs were dropping
and steel drums banged.
In these times their music persisted.
They called on me to get by.

You will too in the time of your exhaustion.
Do not think you are not wavering.
(You are washing by... downwardly)
Good bye my off-stream
and do not argue
and do not scream.
I will carry you in a blanket.

You will be my Moses.
You will be the king that looks like me.
You will be my right creation.
You are like a god.
My relection is in your eyes.
You shine my reflection.
I am your diamond
and your pyramid.
I am the full disclosure.
I am the color of everything,
your prism and drop of son.

The police were there with their big guns.
Only the city dwellers wore a smile.
They did their business
like they do when they get nine dollars
and share their perfume,
giving out birthday gifts to complete strangers.

Sometimes you have to shake it out
like I did when that strange man gave me secrets.
Grooming did not leave a scar
but just a rattled jar
and a dumping.

I became fresh again.
I renewed with the Lord
becoming right in spirit.
These were the words of the spirit.
They had to come in limerick
yet know one would understand.

That is why
they floated by
even while not rhyming.

Somehow - inbetween the letters
they romanticized.
They became apples and oranges.
They rubbed together.
They were sweet and tangy.
All they needed was some spice
and it would be alright.
All they needed was some pepper.

There has been a pestle reached
There has been a pedestal
From the root it is dirty
Slugs and worms creep in the grass beside it
It has a natural smell
It unfolds beautifully
And ends unevenly
Broken withered decayed
But it goes out upward
Exerting outward of itself
Sometimes spiraling in pairs
Sometimes exploding in color
Sometimes traveling far from itself

How many seeds
In the soil of your heart
Have been planted
How many fluffs have
Made it to the rock
Are any parts of
Your body rotting
Where is there
Attached a soul
Can you go down under
Can you handle the heat
In order to be cast out again

In the backs of the coils they wandered
The crooks of their knucks pounded sore
It puffed up where it was souring
Who was the one
Who wanted it pure
Should those parts be cut off
Or should they be melded
Should they harden like a knot
Should they take the form of a cake
And rotate until obscure
We can make you harder and faster
We can turn out the crank
We can slope in alabaster
But we cannot go backwards
The cave has collected rubies
So gather all your jars

What has happened to my mind
Well it was made by you
You assisted my by creating brain waves
And a wormy type of formation
I have seen pictures of
And have seen in real life

The first one was at the scene
Of a motorcycle accident
He was sitting on tbe curb
I wonder if he is alive today
He was touching his neck saying
Everything o.k.

They didnt want to cause shock
The trained ones dressed in white
And driving the red letters
Whispered exper

Dammit gotta run will finish later.......

when we question every day things, such as wind and the air
we feel a greater sense of awe, like maybe there is a purpose as to why we are here.

we feel as if we have reached enlightenment
that we have stumbled across a state of life
depressed realism stains my thoughts
if this is the sharp truth...please, sheath your knife

hide me from this all, from the information that may crush us all
It's never a bad thing to ask why, but do it too much and regret it.

Not all of what we ask may be answered.
The uncertainty churns our souls never allowing them to be fully at peace

The desire to know, overpowers our desire for true happiness, for we seek answers as long as we are able to do so.

FantaSize

Let your imagination run wild
with all you've compiled,
voicing your sound amidst the town
as the heart starts to pound
among passions that compound,
for your fantasy has been found.

Let it grow from inside
swallowing the land, like the tides
encompassing the narrow and wide
within its boundless confines.

Let it spread into your world
adding gleam to the pearls
that line the very curls
of your thread that winds and twirls.

Engulfing existence
within your desire,
size up your insistence
as you would your empire.

Once the threads of fate become entangled,
they can never be undone.
So as we create our destiny, from our own angle,
we stretch and pull this web, as one.
