A lifetime is a single day.

The premis of this poem is life and surviving on a world where a single day lasts 25 years. The people on this world (earth) migrate with the sun, forever walking west in the eve of a single day. To them, the term "Tomorrow" has become death, for nothing survives 25 years of frigid night to see another day.

A lifetime is a single day.

Tomorrow was once another day,

and days were short and great.

Yet days did die and we question why,

Tomorrow is our fate.

Now the eve is our home,

away from shadows we must roam.

For shadows grow and light does fade,

where all life is un-made.

Through forest tall and prairie wide,

We walk this world with humble pride,

We’re called to face the eve of sun,

And walk this world till breath is none.

In deserts bright we raise our hands,

To stop the glare of sunbaked sands,

In forests deep we weave our way,

for paths are scarce or so they say.

And oceans halt our trek do not,

for then we build ourselves a yacht,

And on we go through waters deep,

Seas we cross through many a sleep.

Forever this our fate in life,

To walk and ride and bid our time,

Westward is the only way,

A lifetime is a single day.

So life on this planet evolved and only survived 25 years.
