Or, you know, you could talk to an actual science guy and see how ridiculous the idea is.

As for "anyone who doesn't believe the military has built this", are you referring to HAARP itself? Of course it's real, but there's nothing nefarious about it. In fact, there aren't even any classified documents about it.
http://www.haarp.ala.../haarp/faq.html
They even have OPEN HOUSES for people to visit and community outreach programs with local colleges. Seems reeeeal sneaky to me.......
Really?  So in your expert scientific investigations you have found that superheating the upper atmosphere would not have any effect on the wind.  If you don't believe it would then are you also one of those that believe that man has no effect on global temperatures or weather?

Possibly related? http://science.nasa....l_thermosphere/

Remember this collapse of the upper atmoshere in 2009?

Quote from the article:
The collapse happened during the deep solar minimum of 2008-2009—a fact which comes as little surprise to researchers. The thermosphere always cools and contracts when solar activity is low. In this case, however, the magnitude of the collapse was two to three times greater than low solar activity could explain.
"Something is going on that we do not understand," says Emmert.

I'm thinking that possibly if the did heat the upper atmosphere to unatural temperatures then that would cause a local expansion, if it suddenly cooled after that you could expect a collapse.  Before you write that off as completely ridiculous please note that even the experts could not explain it so don't pretend you can.

Man has a clear effect on global temperatures. That has nothing to do with HAARP.
Using radio waves to heat the upper atmosphere to create weather? No. That is dumb. . All weather is confined to the troposphere wich is only about 6 km n height. The ionosphere doesn't even begin until about 80 km. No CT about HAARP makes any sense. They are stupid and not grounded in any science.

Glad to know that you know everything.

Why don't you make a more accurate statement?  No technology you are aware of could do this.  Did you know that there was real concern, backed by at the time legit scientific theories that anyone on the new super fast trains they were making in the late 1800's would die of suffocation because human lungs were not strong enough to inhale air at that speed?  And I'm sure you're aware there was real concern that igniting the first atomic bomb would start a chain reation that would never stop and essentially turn the earth into a new sun?

So superheating the atmosphere would be implossible.  Glad to hear it.

A quick google search revealed a large amount of HAARP related patents.  The very nature of what these patents claim to be for would seem to dispute what many of the nay sayers on this site claim.  Here I'm pasting just the top few from a large page:

Did I say that super heating the atmosphere would be impossible? I don't believe that I did. Here is the relevant part of my post again:
Using radio waves to heat the upper atmosphere to create weather? No. That is dumb. . All weather is confined to the troposphere wich is only about 6 km n height. The ionosphere doesn't even begin until about 80 km. No CT about HAARP makes any sense. They are stupid and not grounded in any science.

I'll even point out a few parts for you.
Using radio waves to heat the upper atmosphere to create weather? No. That is dumb
Heating the ionosphere does not cause weather, plain and simple. Any areas heated aren't even heated as much as they are by natural solar process. The maximum output of HAARP is 30 milliwatts per square meter at 50 miles altitude decreasing to 1 milliwatt per square meter at 186 miles altitude. . Auruas are 2000 time more powerful that HAARP at 2 watts per square meter in the F region of the ionosphere. In the lower altitude areas daily solar radiation absorption is greater than anything HAARP can do.

All weather is confined to the troposphere wich is only about 6 km n height
Weather is affected by many factors, of course. The fact remains, however, that the levels of energy created by HAARP aren't even close to the daily amounts that occur naturally.

Various scientists have commented that HAARP is an attractive target for conspiracy theorists because according to computer scientist David Naiditch, "its purpose seems deeply mysterious to the scientifically uninformed".[3]

Too many people are scientifically uninformed. Stay away from the fringe.

These are all in line with a facility that uses radio waves to heat the ionosphere to study plasma interactions. I don't see the problem here.

If it is a weather controlling thing do you think we are going to know about it? I'm sure the government has a lot of secrets we are not aware of.. even still they deny Area 51. How long has that been going on>? I just think it is possible.

Happiness illudes me. Each day is a struggle.

Absolutely we would not be informed of this.  Can you imagine the reaction?  People are already pretty concerned about the fragility of the planet, just think of what an international reaction would be to a public admission that efforts had been made to use the atmosphere that we depend on fro everything from fresh water to breathing as a weapon?

Clearly they're also breeding unicorns with laser horns because they haven't told us about it. Can you image the reaction?

That would totaly piss me off.  Why would you waste that kind of money on unicorn laser horns when it's a scientifically proven fact that the magic in the horns are easily 2.5 times more powerful than any laser you could fit in the horn.

I know, right? I think the Illuminati have been using the horns as a natural Viagra.

Actually, the US Gov't officially acknowledged Area 51's existence about 17 years ago on Sept. 29, 1995.

That they refuse to discuss what happens there is something completely different, and an understandable security precaution.
