Every yr as summer turned to fall my grandfather would always say this poem

Come little leaf said the wind one day,
Come over to the meadow with me and play.

Put on your colors of green, red and gold,
For the summer is gone and the days will grow cold.

Happiness illudes me. Each day is a struggle.

  • We have problems because we stray from what is innocent and pure.

Great!

The acceptance of authority does not lead to intelligence.
A mind untouched by thought...the end of knowledge.
To see reality loose your opinions.

Your ad hominem connotes your sciolism. Now that is some funny commentary.

It rained and rained and rained and rained,
The average was well maintained;
And when our fields were simply bogs,
It started raining cats and dogs.
After a drought of half an hour,
There came a most refreshing shower;
And then the queerest thing of all,
A gentle rain began to fall.

Next day 'twas pretty fairly dry,
Save for a deluge from the sky.
This wetted people to the skin,
But after that the rain set in.
We wondered what's the next we'd get,
As sure as fate we got more wet.
But soon we'll have a change again,
And we shall have... a drop of rain.

Sounds exactly like a weather update for the summer we have had.
