  • And a million baneful words couldn't bring me to my knees.

I'm sure this has been posted before, but this is one of my favorite videos of all time and everyone should see it.

Whenever I need to be humbled, I watch this video. We are just specks in a much larger picture. And it’s beautiful.
Hubble Deep Field: The Most Important Image Ever Taken.

A look far out into the universe reveals over 10,000 galaxies like our own.

I remember seeing this when it first came out nearly 6yrs ago....it still gives me goose bumps, it's still as inspiring as it was then...it's why I stand out in the freezing cold at 3am with a scope...because it makes you feel privileged to look into a clear night sky and see what your eyes can't see on their own, just like that vid makes you feel..

“The Old Ones were, the Old Ones are, and the Old Ones shall be. Not in the spaces we know, but between them. They walk serene and primal, undimensioned and to us unseen.” -Lovecraft

I've always enjoyed seeing the vast spaces between the galaxies, far greater is that then the galaxies themselves. Even the almost innumerable galaxies seem to be humbled by the void.

I think that we are a very minute particle in a universe that is far larger than we can contemplate but one spark of consciousness is bigger than the largest ball of exploding gas.  Conscious intelligence is the most important and unique thing in the universe and there has to be more of us  in the vastness.
