I tend to be the same way, but the overwhelming majority of people are not. Quite frankly though, the point isn't in regards to you or me specifically. It's simply saying subliminal messaging is a tactic used by advertising agencies, and that sex and money are often the imagery they use to accomplish this.

my opinion is that the large majority of people are sheep where marketing is concerned, and they pretty much are roped in one way or the other.

That may be true to a certain extent if money does not appeal to you in any sort of way. Sexual imagery on the other hand is something that appeals to the vast majority of people (as well as money).

That's only true to a certain extent. In regards to the slogans and colorations and things of that nature I tend to agree with you. As for the subliminal messaging tactics, however, they are called subliminal for a reason. That reason is to infiltrate and manipulate ones thoughts in a way they will not be aware of.
And if you take a look at the responses by a lot of people in this thread who think it is a waste of time or the dumbest thing ever, well, that kind of gives you an overview as to how much most people care to educate themselves as comsumers about such ploys, doesn't it.
