I suppose it's a decent way to show how split the country is becoming, but nothing good can come from states splitting.  It would start a very dangerous precedent.

I think civil war is looming in the states again...  
Texas will suceed, followed by most other "republican controlled states" after very brief but very agressive actions taken by the Feds against the local government of wisconsin. It wont go nuclear.. But there will be a civil war.. When push comes to shove, things may start turning for the worse, and that's when TPTB will start throwing people in camps if they are of the "wrong mindset"

Where there is devision in politics and especially in money, lines are drawn on maps..
While this could signal some serious altercations to come I don't think it will come to war.. But these kind of devisive actions need to be nipped in the bud before they cause real and irriversable actions..  
The whole thing is a pathetic red versus blue mind game.. People are neither red nor blue, and it is people that matter, not politics, not money. and people need to see it for what it really is, and not fall into mindless false camps of politics and money. Unfortunately, like most governements, those in power run the camps of politics and bow to money..

Not quite, not quite. With Lincoln and the anti-slavery course the South had a real gripe, with Obama it is just sour grapes. The Republicans had the best chance to take the Hill and the White House in more than a century and screwed it up royally. Instead of asking themselves if they are still relevant to those who matter in the elections (or called by the name: the swing voters) they now try to retire to the sulking corner, or at least the more fanatic are.

The truth is...the red states are just very, very, tired of the game...but they are not going to secede...not Texas, nor anyone else....

...that being said...the spit hasn't hit the fan blades yet either...but the idea that states could secede if they wanted to just goes to show you how naive some are about the power of the Federal Government...like they would ever allow that to happen.

Are not the red states equally to blame for the "game", if the "game" is the perpetual us-versus-them game of party partisanship? If the "game", however, is that the People have a say in who they would rather have, out of a very limited and sometimes not particularly enticing choice, do they really have any grounds to complain if the People chose the other party to the one they prefer?
