Am betting that the 'taste for meaty flesh' was a result of the munchies from eating all that grass.

So apes decided to came down from trees & started eating grass. The very principle of evolution, banana is bad eat grass it makes you more intelligent :tu:

My bet would be more: not enough 'nanas fer all of usens, so some go eat grass.
