A man who was ordered by his boss,to remain at a lower Manhattan parking lot ,perished ,when the six foot high waters, flowed into the underground lot.
Despite mandatory evacuation orders for this area, from the mayor ,the man, afraid for his job ,listened to his boss .
He tried to save himself by locking himself in a car ,and was found there dead, days later.
Parking lot owner and his lawyer ,have refused to comment .

Miss me?

Poor guy should have saved his life and then sued IF he lost his job...how sad to be that afraid of homelessness.

We've cast the world, we've set the stage,
for what could be, the darkest age...

More ignorance of the reality of flooding then fear of homelessness IMO.

I see this quite a bit in construction.  We call it being "job scared".  I've actually had to yell at people and threaten to beat them to get them to stop doing something stupid and/or lethal just because they wanted to get their task done and not get fired.

The lot apparently housed long term parking, and some of the cars were very high end. No one expected 6 feet of water, above ground .
That has never happened here . The garage owner, was worried about cars being stolen is my guess.
They showed it all on the news here, all those cars are wrecks now,and this guy died for it.
People are that afraid of being jobless .

Miss me?
