A PLANNED screening of the 1972 pornographic film Deep Throat at the Rooftop Cinemas in Northbridge has been canned.

The infamous porno starring Linda Boreman (aka Linda Lovelace), was to be shown as part of Rooftop Movies' summer season but public concern has forced promoters to strip the flick from its program. There is no longer any mention of it on the Rooftop Cinemas website or Facebook page.

This Rooftop Cinemas venue doesn't usually show pornographic films, in fact I think this would be the first. Usually just B-Grade movies, Cult Classics and Arthouse etc. Well I guess Deepthroat could be considered a Cult Classic.
