I come from a town called Donnybrook in Western Australia, also known as Appletown, or Appleland

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking. Racing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older. Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

Pretty much. They have an apple festival, and a week before that they have an apple ball where they crown the apple queen. I was never the apple queen (I was never apple queen material), but people always ask me if I was

Houston gets H-Town cause we're stuck in the '90's.

H-Town was also the name of a local 90's R&B group that had a #1 hit called "Knockin' da Boots".

Houston's other nickmanes are "The Bayou City" and "Space City" which are about as opposite ends of the spectrum as you can get.

So this is why you have remained quiet on the subject of football.
Your team are in a right state and that's before the ten point deduction.
They are all taking turns to beat you but I don't think you will be overtaken by Hartlepool.
It just proves my theory that any potential investors have got to be British.
These foreigners are only in it for the short term.

I live in Perth. I've heard it called Pommy Perth many times because so many English move here.

I remember hearing Hale & Pace first say it nearly twenty years ago, then later used it in a song.

Where I live, (Derry/Londonderry) the town's been given the name 'The Maiden City'...only so that no one offends each other when they say Derry or Londonderry, always starts an argument and ends in busted noses...which is hilarious by the way.
