There is something very magical about poems like this.  I imagine them to contain power and consider them runes instead of poems.

Yes I am starting to see so as well. I came across the start of a drawing I had done a while back and sketched a little more on it. They are like dreams to me, I don't think about it I just draw. I thought of this poem because the picture had become a dragon that was rising out of a snake in beams of smoke, it was as if he was standing on his head, benefitting from his 'ugliness' so to say. The title that came to mind was "using the devil as a footstool". I can see the relevance to that drawing and this poem.
