A new species of blind cat fish has been discovered by scientists working in south India.

This, along with other new animals, were identified in an old deep well in the southern Indian state of Kerala.

The new blind cat fish, which is blood red in colour, has an elongated body measuring about 3.8cm in length.

Nature will never stop surprising me!

Some good little finds there but something's bothering me...
It seems that whatever cave species there is they seem to be blind and vulnerable.
Well excluding  certain bacteria and flatworms.
But I've to say a cave isn't the most perfect of environments.
I think you need to make the most of these new discoveries.
