drove through the spot
with the dead signal
phone call dropped
wish you were driving
with me instead

want to tie up loose ends
and if i've nothing to say
when we call back
could we just stay quietly
on the line anyway?

winter's just beginning, again
feels like it never ended
happiness is like a morning
sky on fire that is so fleeting

Happy solstice and last day in the world IBY

I like the personal touch : place where the phone drops a call
Like how winter is just the beginning, when it is regarding a day that is considered the end

And of course fire in the sky is always nice... we dont have that here, we have a steady light gray blanket that sometimes wrinkles into darker folds while throwing cold water at us... ;)
