The USA,despite spending more than any other industrialized country ,on health ,didn't even make the top ten .

Guess which is number one. Just guess. :)

I wonder how much of this has to do with genetics (verses lifestyle)?

The Japanese smoke like fiends, and drink like fish . They look ten years younger than they are ,always it seems ,unless they really smoke and drink a lot .
It's been attributed to diet . Rich in seaweeds and a lot of fish .
They have lowers instances of cancer and heart issues ,than we do ,that's for sure .
They do have gyms, but they don't go ,say the way Americans go to the gym .
It's not a daily necessity ,like it is for us .

The instances of disease and obesity ,have risen there, because they've adopted so many western dietary habit.
More red meats,fatty desserts .

I would say its life style ,with some genetics .

Yup, looks about right. Keep believing America has best healthcare in the world...It does not have the best AND it is the most expensive. The problem? Captialism...but hey, don't believe me, keep listening to the Repubs...Or just look at the numbers...

Do you guys eat fatty desserts and processed crap ?
Your meat is probably also much healthier than ours ,whi h would extend to eggs and dairy .
