Anyone who keeps fish tanks ,already knows this,quite well . Fish feel pain ,experience stress and fear .
Fish even recognise their owners .Some fish commit suicide .

The EU has already passed legislation taking into account fish sentience in 2009.

I'm not sure what impact this will have. Most everyone agrees that cows, chickens and pigs are sentient, but that doesn't stop them from being tortured and killed, er I mean "processed".
