the problem is, "one" (or two, now) is not a very big sample space, but I do consider the testimony.
Also, there have been witnesses that say something like, "... and in a flash, he disappeared".
and most people may not take that litterally, but the speaker may have intended it that way.
clearly if this creature exists, in order to avoid getting shot or captured, it has to have some unique defense mechanism. and what that is,, heaven only knows... for now :--)
I also keep in the back of my mind, the few Indian tribes whose oral tradition says that BF can transcend dimensions and some that think it is a shapeshifter. I really wonder what could have transpired to make them think it is so positively true, they made it part of their oral tradition.
have a good one, Ken
I don't think I'm ready to accept that any creature has the ability to simply shift dimensions at will. If that were the case then the Government would have gone into full tilt Bigfoot capture to discover this ability in order to make a weapon out of if.
Grated this whole thread is a very large "what if", the assumption is that they are real and are as yet, undiscovered. While I have no problems taking a couple for the benefit of the whole, there is a large moral question and that is if take a couple, let's go whole hog here and assume I take a family group: An adult male and female, and a couple of adolescent Bigfoots......just for the sake of talking. Ok, you take these creatures' bodies to a college or university........which is going to be kind of tricky in itself because they might suspect you're a crackpot and be trying to dupe them in Slick Rick fashion. If you had the money the thing to do would be to find a college or university and approach them with a contribution to their Primate Research Facility in hand. One thing I have discovered over the years is that colleges and universities might not take you seriously however if you have cash in hand suddenly you're a "friend of their program", and friends of their programs are entitled to certain privileges. Now you'd probably have to agree not to tell anyone that you have "partnered up" with XYZ University, and you'd have to keep it under wraps until they were able to complete the DNA, autopsy, and detailed study of the bodies and were prepared to make the news open to all by means of a press conference.
Not all this hoopla that Slick Rick was doing, he's a faker and a fraud and why anyone would believe him is beyond me.........however, having said that........It's like a train wreck that I can't look away from, I just have to gawk at it.
Then comes the down side, odds are the people who were with you, the university, others will want a share of the Bigfoot credit pie. Some will deserve it and some are simply looking for s quick buck. You recall what Jeff Meldrum said about the people who own everything calling the shots, well suddenly you'll have a ton of people claiming ownership. Just a simple case in point.
Let's say I go up and assist Stardrive with his investigations, ok during that investigation I shoot and recover a Bigfoot.....maybe two. Now, Stardrive will be the guy who will deserve the credit because he's the one who put two and two together and while I have seen the same things he did, I never put them together. It's only because of his figuring it out that I got the shot, because I literally stood on his shoulders. Now most likely everyone is going to want to talk to me, because I shot the Biggy, but in truth the guy they need to talk to is Stardrive. You see what I mean? Stardrive would deserve the vast majority of the credit. Then too, the University will deserve some credit because they did all the clinical work, and so on and so on. So it can get convoluted.
