It is with a heavy heart that I have to report that long time UM member MID passed away on Monday 7th January. He died peacefully, surrounded by his family.

Through this site, even though we were separated by the Atlantic Ocean, I became friends with him. I will miss him.

I am sure I speak for the whole UM community when I say that our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

The natural order of life is what's going on.

Live each day as if it were your last. Always forgive your friends and family for life's minor disagreements. Be grateful for everyone you have, we are each others greatest gifts.

I will miss MID more than I can express with mere words.

RIP MID may your family and friends find comfort and strength at this difficult time.
"I warn you, whoever you are, oh you who wish to probe the arcanes of nature, if you do not find within yourself that which you seek, neither shall you find it outside.
If you ignore the excellencies of your own house, how do you intend to find other excellencies?
In you is hidden the treasure of treasures, Oh man, know thyself and you shall know the Universe and the Gods."

I am very saddened to learn of MID's passing. He was always a very valuable resource and never refrained from an opportunity to share his vast knowledge and experience. May he rest in peace.

My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

MID was one of my favorite people here at UM (the best teacher ever) when it came to everything.

I just cant believe it.

Sad indeed.

So sad to hear. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I had several conversations with MID on the forum and in messages over the years about various space related topics. His knowledge and passion for the space program was amazing. I will miss him.

Rest in peace my friend.
