My 6 year old grand-niece has discovered these old songs from my sisters old record collection and now I can't get them out of my head now...

Taun, I remember listening to the above four songs when they first came out on the radio. I had the Lonnie Donegan '45'. The "B" side was "Rock Island Line". I used to sing the Bubble Gum song to my friends and it would crack 'em up.

Edit: My copy of the Chewing Gum song was this version of the song:.

Taun, I bet your 6 year old grand-niece would like this one, too. I remember liking this song.  It's hard to get these kinds of songs out of the head.

I don't know if she'd like it or not (who am I kidding - she would love it)... But I've always liked it...

Jam on It by Newcleus 1984

Takes me back so many many times.

"From time to time there appear on the face of the earth men of rare and consummate excellence, who dazzle us by their virtue, and whose outstanding qualities shed a stupendous light. Like those extraordinary stars of whose origins we are ignorant, and of whose fate, once they have vanished, we know even less, such men have neither forebears nor descendants: they are the whole of their race."  -- Jean de la Bruyere 1645-1696.

The song spoof Jamie Foxx did on Channing Tatum's name on Jimmie Kimmel. I wanna say it but it sounds realllly inapropriate. LOL
