Strict Gun Laws in Chicago Can’t Stem Shootin

questionmark

Recommended Posts

I think Chicago wouldn't be so bad if some of the neighborhoods weren't so scary that even the cops are afraid to go there at night. I'm pretty sure that was part of the point of blue lights. Even during the day some neighborhoods are pretty frigging scary.

Couldn't you say that about anywhere? 'It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't scary'?

lol, considering that i got my permit in 1996, i'll pass to comment on your illusions. keep me entertained however.

You got your New York City Permit in 96 and cannot tell us what you had to bring with you to apply? Short memory?

True, you could say that about anywhere. But I know in Chicago some hoods where the cops are reluctant to do their jobs because of the folks living there. It's kind of hard to take the guns away from the little nuts when you are pretty sure they will kill you just for being there.

Todays bad scary neighborhoods that even the police are afraid to go into.....tomorrows free America.....The problem is was that they made them so bad and scary to keep the police out because the police are corrupt and only interested in being a paramiltary army..

Chicago's biggest problem is the corruption of the whole city since the 20s. There were always no-go areas for cops and cop precincts almost under the control of organized crime. What is necessary is to clean out the whole place starting from the political establishment, that should also take care of the violence problem. Trying to forbid guns leads nowhere.

us???? don't speak for others, no one but you cares, , and even you don't care either, you asking to many question for the sake of asking not geting an answer.you also said guns in nyc were forbiden before 1998, and i got my permit in 96, so that proves you are full of hog wash. pretty much what i've been saying all along.

Now where kinda talkin the same language Q. I agree fully we got to clean the establishment up. Probably would make sense to do that first. Then lets see where we are with the gun debate. With a properly running moral government the need for guns would not be what it is today.

But yeah Im sure those scary areas would still exist.

in 70s and 80s brighton\manhatten beach were rotten gettos, now it is russian area with $1-10mil. houses. getto inhabitants moved out.same was in 90's in atlantic city, it is clean now.in both cases it were not laws, or direct action of politicians that fixed it.in one case it was jewish \russian comunity, in others casinos, that made it happen.

So, what documents did you have to bring?

If you can't tell me that I will have to suppose that you don't know what you are talking about. And us is because this is not a private conversation you are having with me. I am sure that a few more people are interested in this (especially those who really would like to see me not knowing what I am talking about once in their life).

I know the corruption in Chicago is horrible, probably one of the worst cities if not the worst in the nation. And I know hoods can change- Boystown is a good example of that.

But some of those hoods... I'm not sure any amount of corruption cleanup would help. I don't think there's enough good money that can move in to clean it up enough. And the bad hoods creep steadily into not so bad ones- increasing tags, increasing gunshots..

When I first moved into Andersonville, it was a really nice hood- by the time I moved out you could tell by the alleyways that the gangs had been using them as travelines. Just walking the few blocks to either the brown or red line could be a dangerous experience.

I am not asking about now, I am asking about before '98, or before the licensing procedures were changed, that is not in the link.

And calling others names does not befit those who cannot answer simple questions that anybody who ever got a New York City gun license should be able to answer.

Thats so long ago its irrelevant. As you like to say in reference to the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. If it wasnt you that said those statements multiple times Q I apologize ahead of time. But to me thats hypocrisy.

It is not irrelevant if the guy calling you a liar evidently does not know the first thing about the theme and all he can come up with is a link to the New York City Firearms Dept.

No, but in view that you seemed to know about it I bothered to Skype a friend in Manhattan who works for the city police. So I do know the answer. Now lets see if you are smart enough to call somebody in New York City... ooops too late.

lol, sure you did. your imaginary friend has as much credabuiltiy as you are.

if you had that friend you would know guns were not forbiden in nyc. not in 80s not in 70s.

Try me, give us the answer. Or better, in view that it is amply demonstrated that you don't know what you are talking about, lets forget the whole chapter.

The forbidden in New York is something you seem to interpret, restricted is what I said, or in plain English, out of 10 applications maybe 4 got a permit, hence the Jersey trick. But keep on changing the theme. Or better yet, if you can't answer something you should know according to your own bragging we might as well ignore you "esteemed opinion" in the future.
