can anyone see the moon in australia now?

my friend just posted up that she seen the moon a that looks like its a quarter slit and real orange i cant see the moon from where i am because of all the trees and lights but im hoping somebody can tell me if they see it or not or if my mates just tripping.

if it is take a pic and post it up thanx

In an ideal World a law would be passed were NO guns were allowed and all those out there destroyed, trouble is the law makers are not going to take a risk of trying to pass that without making sure they are armed first.

Just went and had a look but couldn't see it. There's a bit of cloud out tonight where I live.

Argh.  Was hoping someone would have a pic posted up of it.  I'd like to see what your friend was seeing.

I am no authority on this kind of thing....not by any stretch....but I do know the moon can throw off some pretty spooky looks due to our own atmospheric effects.  It almost sounds like you're describing a lunar eclipse, but the next one of those isn't scheduled until late April this year.
