(What i found amusing was at the start of it when I looked it up was an advert for treatment for Fungal foot infection. Make of that whatever you like.)

Why did I have to hit the play button and subject my ears to that.. Sorry I could only manage 1:40 seconds. "Stars may be blind but the general public Paris are not death".

Back to showaddywaddy for me.

Overated... 98% of the trash you hear in the charts.

Quoted for truthery.

But in that 2% would you include RATM's "Killing In The Name"?

Btw the most underrated band would have to be Enter Shakiri.

You know "De-Stabilise" and " Arguing With Thermoneters".

4 A.M. and Apocrypho are two underrated groups. Also, the cognoscenti found their live performances to be too arty and distant or elitist (depending on the earnest "critic").

Under-rated - Barry Adamson

For over-rated.... Coldplay!  I can't stand them, think the lead singer has the most depressing voice ever.
I actually don't mind a bit of Coldplay here and there.  It's one of my exceptions to the Top-40 players

underrated? tom waits, nomeansno
overrated.... nicklebackdefaulttheoryofdeadmanscompositebands, metallica, green day, nirvana, ill even put the beatles on here too.
I'd possibly agree with you on Nirvana (being that they are most popular today because of Cobain's suicide), and perhaps Greenday as well.  But Metallica are one of (if not the) greatest metal bands in history.  And the Beatles?  Geez, I can't list the number of ways I disagree with you on that.

Not in any order:
  • Bjork.
Just pulling this one off your list, I think Bjork is absolutely amazing.  For the rest on your list I mostly agreed.

I guess this shows how subjective a list like this is.....

Bjork is probably the best on the list & I can see there is a musical talent in her and I did think twice about putting her on the list. Having said that a list can also push into boundaries of personal preference and Bjork isn’t someone I like to listen to. I guess a person’s list could go on and on, I could add: Cliff Richard, any kind of Classical musician & Opera singers but they would probably be high on another’s list of best Musicians… (Well perhaps not Cliff, surely, no one really likes him).

Tbh I think Miss Tweedy has been a victim of her own success.
A lot of people have been treating her like dirt including Cowell, the rest of Girls Aloud and Ashley Cole.
However she shouldn't have given her former husband a second chance.
But she gets a demerit for that L'Oreal advertisement.
It's just not cricket trying to make out hair extensions as proof of the shampoo working.
Oh and she sings load of disposable pop tunes.
Alack and alas.

Under rated : Queensryche

Over rated : Any " artist " that does not have a bass player, lead and rythm guitars, drummer, and a singer......And do not write their own music / lyrics.

As for Paris Hilton, I still think she has a hell of a good movie out ...... :innocent:

Overrated
Oasis - by the largest margin possible
U2 - even though they did a few good songs
Most rap

Underrated
Sarah McLachlan (Canadian singer with angelic voice)
Leo Kottke (12 string guitarist)
Colin Hay (used to head Men At Work, now does solo work)
Peter Gabriel (genius)

And I like Bjork's stuff too.  Weird is good..

I'm probably going to get a lot of stick for this.
But Over rated: IMO:
The Beatles: By far the most over-rated band ever. They don't sing particularly well. Play instruments particularly well. They didn't have particularly good lyrics. Nor did they have particularly good tunes.

U2: Very over- rated. Again not particularly good in anyway and Bono doesn't help being the way he is.

Ac/Dc: I think they are over-rated and don't think there lyrics, tunes or vocals are particularly good.

The various crappy throw away musicians such as Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj etc.

Various crappy rappers such as Flo Rida etc.

Under rated:

Editors: good lyrics, good tunes, good vocals. Just good but so under rated.

Snow Patrol: Again under rated.

Black The Ripper: Underground UK Grime artist. Under rated. He is a good lyricist.

Various underground UK grime artists and various under rated bands

She had to own the record label .No one else would release her cd .
I'm pretty sure Yoshiki helped her with all of it . He was secretly giving her piano lessons and all of *that* .....at the time.

Miss me?
